Several GT full suspension & hardtail bikes owned previously | | Bike Setup: | Stock setup but with Manitou Swinger SPV rear shock (instead of Fox Float rear shock that came on 2003 model) | | Bottom Line: | This is by far the most incredible bike I have ever ridden. It is an absolute "Mercedes" - plush over the big hits, but the SPV technology makes the rear end feel like a hardtail when you're cranking. I owned a Jekyll 2000 before - it was great and it was hard for me to imagine anything I'd like better - but I've found it!
The shifting with the new XTR components is phenomenal - smooth as silk. It's got the best of all worlds as far as I'm concerned for the type of riding I do. It climbs great, rolls over anything in its path with the greatest of ease, and the Lefty and Crossmax components give it a great "wow" factor. If you're looking for a truly all-mountain bike that's at the top of its class, you've come to the right place. This bike's a dream, and I'm really glad I bought it.

I transitioned from cross-country to All Mountain in order to overcome the weakness of limited travel while mountain biking in the Rockies. The Jekyll 3000 will overcome any ridable or unridable terrain on this planet. What used to be difficult to maneuver is now a cake walk. The Jekyll 3000 will build your confidence, it will take on any variance of technicality with ease. For an all mountain bike it doesn't take a lot of your energy on the climbs either; official weigh-in at Treads Outfitters was 28 lbs!

The New Lefty Max with Manitou TPC is way more 'dialable'. Rear lockout is key for flying on the flats, and the new rebound adjuster on the Lefty is easily accessable | | Weaknesses: | poor grips...? | | Similar Products Used: | Sugar, FSR Enduro | | Bike Setup: | pretty much stock...i I mean the bike is pimp with Mavic xmax, XTR, Fox, Hutchison Scorpion UST. xc angles ridden most of the time. | | Bottom Line: | 5 inches of the sweet plush both front and rear. Infinitley adjustable with a super stiff rear end, this bike climbs like a billy goat, descends like an avalanche and flys across single track better than anything I've ever ridden/owned. Anyone not confident in the Lefty should give their head a shake. This fork is Super stiff and directional, super smooth and is completley confidence inspiring.
