Strengths:Extremely fast and light. From the first time i threw my leg over the bike i was amazed at how light it feels, yet i can throw anything at it, and it doesnt even blink. a VERY strong bike. Very responsive and fun to ride. Feels great on long climbs, downhills, and even big drops. The Titanium Lefty fork is so sweet! i would never use anything else now!
Weaknesses:The crank, shifters and wheels are not top of the line, but other than that... there is nothing to complain about on this bike... oh, except the stock tires... they SUCKED! i replaced them with in the first week after having three pinch flats... since then, zero problems with the bike!
Similar Products Used:98 Cannondale Killer V900 w/ fatty ultra, Gary fisher Big Sur
Bike Setup:Hayes disc brakes, ritchy seat post, Easton monkey bar, XTR/XT parts, only upgrades i have replaced are the tires, and i replaced the cheap LX shifters with XT shifters (partly cause the blue LX pods looked out of place on the grey/black/red bike...)
Bottom Line:This is one of the nicest bikes i have ever ridden. It does almost everything well... it can take a lot of abuse, and still is light enough to power up those big climbs. I would highly recomend this bike to anyone... and on top of its great performance, it looks sooo good, i always get complements on how sweet my bike looks!!

Favorite Trail:Bromont, QC
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $2200.00
Purchased At:Primeu Velo
Strengths:Great CAAD5 frame, Really light, The lefty is the most amazing suspension ever made! Hayes discs.
Weaknesses:Had to sell it on ebay to some idiot from Nova Scotia who doesn't even appreciate how lucky he is for getting a such great bike! Other than that, the crank is nothing great but it works...
Similar Products Used:Oryx Tline 500, Gary Fisher Big Sur, TREK 9000
Bike Setup:Stock... Only changed the grip to OURY cause i have big hands!
Bottom Line:The greatest bike i've owned! The paint job is amazing! I really wish i was able to keep that bike! The Lefty is amazing... And by the way, you can't call it a suspension fork cause by the definition, it has to fork! This is a suspesion leg... Anyways... If you have a chance to get that bike just do it! You won't regret it... Handles everything! Stiff and powerfull and the suspesion makes you wonder if it's only 4 in... Cause it's so responsive!

Favorite Trail:Potawatomi - Michigan
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $2200.00
Purchased At:Planet Cycle
Strengths:Stiff, light, great for climbs, the brakes work very well, the lefty is the best fork I ever had. The lock out system is easy to engage and reliable. The bike is ready to ride.
Weaknesses:Remove the front wheel for transport is a pain in the ass. Both grey and woody colors are ugly, but you don't pain attention on that while riding. Due to the lefty you need a longer ciclocomputer wiring to reach the rear wheel (I didn't try the wireless one)
Bike Setup:XTR, XT, LX, Lefty fork, CAAD 5 frame, Hayes
Bottom Line:It worths each penny. This bike rocks!

Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $2000.00
Purchased At:www.xtremesports.com
Strengths:Stiff, climbs like crazy, Lefty fork outshines all previous forks I have ridden, Hayes.
Very short wheelbase, fun and twitchy.
Great technical trail bike and flat out fast.
25 Pounds for the complete bike right out of the box.
Weaknesses:Stiff, nearly uncomfortable. Cannot fit anything bigger than a 2.25 tire in the rear - rubs frame.
BB kind of low. whack pedals more.
Only available in battleship grey if you don't like the hideous wood grain.
Pain to remove front wheel all the time for transport - Lefty.
Similar Products Used:Fishers, GT's, Schwinns, Ibis, Specialized, etc.
Bike Setup:lx/xt/xtr, lefty, hayes, CAAD5 frame
Bottom Line:Nice bike. the first c-dale I've ridden.
Incredibly light and stiff frame, almost no flex when pedaling hard.
Higly recommended for east coast riding - exceptional in very technical situations. DH's very nice too. Love the Lefty fork tracks almost as good as rigid forks, lock out is nice, be sure to set sag correctly or handling can be slightly compromised. I weigh 180 and run the fork at 140 psi. no problems yet. Get bike rack adapter from hurricane components.
All and all great bike for any usage - hardtail dh to cross country race.
