Favorite Trail:Salt Stump- Douthat State Park
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $575.00
Purchased At:Am Flyers
Strengths:I have been pleased with Cane Creek products, so I decided to purchase a pair of Zonos as an upgrade for my GF X-Caliber. These wheels have not let me down. They are very stiff and look great! I ordered my with the bladed spokes (+ $100)in order to save a little rotational weight. After 400 miles of aggressive riding and one race these wheels have not needed truing.
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:Bontrager Superstock
Bike Setup:Gary Fisher- stock except for wheels
Bottom Line:For aggressive XC riding and racing these wheels will work great! Cane Creek customer service is outstanding!

Submitted by Mark a Cross Country Rider from Austin, TX, USA
Date Reviewed: March 15, 2007
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $460.00
Purchased At:Speedgoat
Strengths:Stiff, perty, they really do feel like they spin up faster than wheel with standard spokes.
Weaknesses:Have to pull the disk or cassette to futz with spokes. Am about to find out how hard it is to get replacement spokes. The quick release levers are puny. The big long lever Bontrager levers work much better for holding the rear wheel in horizontal drop outs. Teeny little wrench - better not lose that!
Similar Products Used:The stock Bontrager wheels that came with my GF Mt Tam 29er.
Bike Setup:Cross Country.
Bottom Line:They quite well with regular cross country / road riding. They are not particulary beefy [for the record, with water pack I'm around 200 lbs]. I endo'd on the bike and somehow fell on the rear wheel, bent a spoke and knocked the rear wheel noticeably out of true. Not looking forward to trying to fix that.
