Bottom Line:I am 6'6" 260, and these wheels suck.I had a pair of daves and they rocked, wanted to spend some money and bought these peices of SH#t. they rubbed on corners, took my fav 10' jump at ~25mhp and the fu#$er taco'd on me. thses wheels are crap. no serious riders allowed for these rims.

Strengths:Strong, light, stay true.
Weaknesses:None yet.
Bike Setup:'96 Bontrager Race Lite - loaded, Hayes Hyd. Disc on front.
Bottom Line:This wheel has done it's job. Have not had to true it, it feels light for a disc wheel. Hub works fine. I'll buy a complete set for my next ride.

Date Reviewed: October 3, 2000
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $750.00
Purchased At:Lickton's
Strengths:Elegant but tough
puts spoke nipples on the hub where they belong
no more wheel truing!!!
Weaknesses:a tad pricy
Similar Products Used:mavic, velocity, matrix - all conventionally laced
Bike Setup:Klein Pulse with a special eclectic component mix
Bottom Line:Cane Creek's wheelsets are excellent. Not cheap, but fantastic build quality and top-notch design. The Disc-V's are beefy, but they feel light because of their low rotational inertia. Worth the investment.

I have not had to touch a wheel with a spoke wrench afterr six months of abuse from an aggressive 90kg rider on a hardtail aluminum frame.

Date Reviewed: March 28, 2000
Favorite Trail:Pee Wee's MTB Park
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Weight advantage over other disc wheelsets, stainless steel straight pull spoke, trued at hub, bombproof! Supreme acceleration and GOOD LOOKS.
Weaknesses:None found
Similar Products Used:Mavic 517, Bontrager Race, Spinergy REVX & SPOX
Bike Setup:2000 Intense Tracer, Hand Built
Bottom Line:You absolutely will not find a lighter stronger disc specific wheelset. I have been riding and abusing these rims for three months and haven't had to touch them yet. Cane Creek is a friendly, easy to deal with company. They have my full endorsement. I work at a Bike Shop and can ride any wheels I would like. The Cane Creeks have it hands down.
