Date Reviewed: May 28, 2005
Favorite Trail:Monagas
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $350.00
Purchased At:Hot Dog Cycling
Strengths:Sealed bearings, light, strong, aesthetically pleasing, awesome design (asymetrical section, with the spoke nipples on the hub, rather than on the rim, and thus theoretically more resistant against fractures)
Weaknesses:Sealed bearings that might wear out, but... [keep reading; see "The Bottom Line"].

Bike Setup:Full suspension 2004 Dean Ace, Skareb fork, Race Face cranks, Saint - XTR transmision, Thompson stem and seatpost, Airflow seat, etc.
Bottom Line:From Cane Creek's website (FAQ): "What is the warranty policy on Crono wheels? We take care of the customer. All of us ride and we all realize what a bummer it is to have something go wrong and be without equipment that works. So we make durable components, and we back them up with responsive customer service." ...This is 100% true. My back wheel (the sealed bearing) got busted from normal riding, and the guys from Cane Creek replaced with a completely new wheel (rim, spokes, and hub), no questions asked, and the whole thing took less that two weeks. I would only dream that the rest of the manufacturers were half as diligent. I definitely recomend this and the rest of Cane Creek's product line.
