Light Weight
Weaknesses:
Don't stay true
Similar Products Used:
Bontrager Superstokcs, Bontrager Rhythm Comps
Bottom Line:
After riding 3 Months on these wheels they were so out of shape I couldn't get them true again. After 2 hours of trying I said straight enough and called it done.
Comparatively, I previously road on a pair of Bontrager Superstock's and road entire race season and didn't need to true them once but the weakness of the Superstocks is the Shimano rear hub.
I hear the Bontrager Rhythm Comps are heaveir but more durable. I have a set of these with mud tires on them. We'll see how they hold up.

Duration Product Used:

Price Paid:

Purchased At:
the trek store
Strengths:
Wider footprint than most 29er rims allows for alot of banging around.
Damn light. 1,950-gram
Stiff.
Tubeless
Bontrager warranty
Weaknesses:
expensive for a college student
Similar Products Used:
Mavic 29er wheelset
Bike Setup:
Specialized Rock hopper 29 comp. hardtail. Tubeless setup.
Bottom Line:
Haven't had them very long yet, but they have never needed truing and I ride hard. The Rims are wide, really wide. With the 28-mm rim profile you can drop off sh*t on your 29er like it's a 26 and still rollover everything in your path. They are as stiff as you can hope for with a 29er set. headed to Moab to give them a real test. If they don't hold up i'll update, but I expect they will.
