Duration Product Used:

Price Paid:
$20.00
Purchased At:
Nashbar
Strengths:
Good on batteries, tail light is blinding, headlights are pretty nice for LEDs and the price
Weaknesses:
Only thing I could say would be bad is that you can see the brightness of the LEDs at the front lamp. I guess the light scatters upward a bit more than I want. Some silver paint fixes this problem and makes this light perfect.
Similar Products Used:
random cateye and target Bell brand. I couple this w/ an energizer 5 LED headlamp on my helmet.
Bike Setup:
K2 Proflex 5000, lots of goodies
Bottom Line:
I love this light combo. I already own two sets, one might go on my g/f's bike or I might just put an extra on mine. The batteries will last a long time.
The tail light is extremely bright and you can clip it on your shorts or shirt. Very handy!
It's definitely an effective and inexpensive light setup that everyone doing regular night commuting should try. I wouldn't use it out on narrow mountain trails in the dead of night but it works well for riding around neighborhoods and wider less winding trails. Couple this w/ an LED headlamp to make it even more useful.
