$20.00 | | Purchased At: | Bobs Cycle Supply - online | | Strengths: | Very comfortable glove for mild chilly weather. Great palm padding and overall flex for hand movement. Good styling...although function before fashion. Washable material for you guys with stinky paws. | | Weaknesses: | Large foam padding on back of hand kind of bulky...other than that none noted. | | Similar Products Used: | Fox DirtPaw, Schwinn full-finger | | Bike Setup: | '03 Gary Fisher Tassajara | | Bottom Line: | Very comfortable glove that will last for the average rider. Good value if you can find them for less than the $50 MSRP advertised. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Even the owners of the bike shop i go to use this glove. Warm in cool conditions and fairly cool and vented in really hot conditions. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$25.00 | | Purchased At: | LBS (Eric's) | | Strengths: | Good fit in extra large, as my wrists are pretty thin compared to my tenis-racket hands. Nicely constructed, warm enough for fall and spring, great hold on every grip I've tried. I got them on a lark because I lost my gloves, and the shop was out of everything that fit except these, which they had in the BMX section. | | Weaknesses: | Maybe to warm for summer, heavy plastic "armor" on fingers can interfere with rapidfire shifters and seems pretty pointless (never riped up a knuckle crashing before). | | Similar Products Used: | Motocross gloves (for motorcyling), canondale cross country full finger gloves, various 3/4 finger cheapies. | | Bike Setup: | Used these gloves with stock 2000 Specialized bars (narrow-ish bar with thin, abrasive grips) and Sun-Ringle Uncle Jesse DH bars with Race Face "Good n' Evil" grips (very plus, lots of leverage) | | Bottom Line: | Excellent glove, glad I got them, and I don't ride downhill or BMX. Great for hard XC rides in any temp below 65 degrees. Still, I'm amazed with the $50 MSRP- there's no special "technical" features, just good solid construction. The vlaue is for the price I paid- only 2 flaming chipoltes if you paid $50, and that's if you don't loose them like I tend to.
The only other gloves I'd want (except for keeping warm) are mechincs gloves, and I don;t think they would give quite the same protection. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$45.00 | | Purchased At: | Local motorcycle shop | | Strengths: | great comfort/fit looks good
| | Weaknesses: | stink after a while... but then again all gloves do that ;-) | | Similar Products Used: | Fox, O'neil, JT | | Bike Setup: | Trek 930 w/ Rock Shox Judy XC | | Bottom Line: | These gloves are awesome. I like them the best because i also ride motocross and I can use them for both sports so i save mad $$$. I have taken some pretty mean spills on both bicycle and motocross bike and they have withstood everything. $45 is a good price to pay to use for 2 sports but maybe a little high for just mountain biking. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$30.00 | | Strengths: | Comfortable, look good | | Weaknesses: | Velsor straps are too short | | Similar Products Used: | Fox Solo | | Bike Setup: | 2000 Kona Blast (stock) | | Bottom Line: | After only two rides the stitching on the palms and fingers began to come out. I returned them to the point of purchase for an exchange but the only other pair in my size also had problems with the stitching. I liked the fit and the look of these gloves but durability appears to be a problem. Judging by the other reviews, I may have just had some bad luck. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Orillia, Ontario, Canada Date Reviewed: August 11, 2000 | | Favorite Trail: | Hardwood Hills | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Strengths: | Chicks dig the flashy design Other guys are jealous of the flashy design Gives you confidence on whatever you ride Isn't that all that matters? | | Weaknesses: | Not very grippy, tend to get hot for long rides. Stitching kind of cheap, and gets caught in my grip shift handles. | | Bike Setup: | Crappy 98 Raleigh Tarantula | | Bottom Line: | The gloves look and feel cool. Unfortunately, they're too nice for my bike. Sometimes I just wear the gloves around the house cause they look and feel cool. Ride wise, they're not grippy. Just wearing these puppies will give you more confidence when you're riding. If you want to look cool while riding, and don't really care about the performance, get them. If you put performance before looks, get soemthing more technical. No gloves are more sick looking. Kind of expensive, but worth it for the flashy rider. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from York, Yorkshire, UK Date Reviewed: May 28, 2000 | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Strengths: | 1.The padding at the top gives protection 2.The black palm is strong, and does not tear into pieces 3.The cuff does not interfere with the shirt's cuffs 4.Various sizes | | Weaknesses: | 1.The strap is not long enough 2.No terry cloth to wipe out the dirty marks 3.The 'Answer' symbol is too big and hard, so it doesn't give you the dexterity | | Bottom Line: | This pair of gloves is a must have if you are limited on money. It gives you the feel to become a Downhill Racer, Mountain Biker, BMXer, or just a city rider. They are available on bvarious sizes, although some bike shops only sells one/two sizes. Actually, there are no difference between the 1999 version and the 2000 version, it's just the padding designs. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

| | Weaknesses: | Stiching isn't 100% You could consider them to look a bit 'naff' | | Similar Products Used: | Wooly Thinsulate gloves Ex-East German army shooting gloves! Lycra backed cycling mitts | | Bike Setup: | MTB with slicks, thumbshifters | | Bottom Line: | They work, keep my hands safe through spring, summer & autumn in the UK
They are ok in winter but not if it's freezing
At sixteen quid not too expensive & they have certainly lasted well (bar the little stiching I had to do in the first three months of use) | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Honolulu, HI Date Reviewed: December 4, 1999 | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | Good price, very sturdy construction with double stitching at the fingers, good range of sizes (esp. for small hands), sturdy thumb stitching, excellent knuckle protection | | Weaknesses: | padding is a little deficient in the palm | | Similar Products Used: | Answer Edge (nice, but not as nice as these, IMHO...the durable stitching at the fingers makes these superior to the Edge), Fox Mojaves (poor quality - '98 model), Pearl Izumis | | Bike Setup: | I have a hardtail with a Judy SL and ride trails as well as road. I am a cautious rider and I do not take frequent spills, but when I do I'd want the Team 2 protecting my fingers! | | Bottom Line: | I bought these wonderful gloves at Tempe Bicycle while on vacation and had to buy the smaller youth size as I have small hands. Nothing would fit until I found the Team 2. The price was also very right for the quality and workmanship of these gloves. I went on a ride and lost one side when I took my gloves off. I tried to re-order these in Hawaii but were told the Team 2 is discontinued. I have replaced them with the Answer Edge but they don't seem as well-made or comfortable as these. | Overall Rating: |

They're strong, have lots of padding for crash protection, and fit very well. The problem with them is that they're a bit bulky and bunch up a bit. They also don't have a terry-cloth thumb to wipe your boogers off. | Overall Rating: |
