Submitted by Ricksom a Racer from Toronto, Canada
Date Reviewed: October 6, 2008
Duration Product Used:6 months
Purchased At:Cambria
Strengths:Takes a beating in mud, water, rocks, and hike-a-biking.
Weaknesses:Surprisingly none
Similar Products Used:Sidi Dragon, Nike, many Shimanos
Bottom Line:Bought these shoes for a very muddy, wet, and rugged 3 day mountain bike stage race, instead of trashing my Sidi's.

Surprisingly, these shoes were very durable, ventilated well, and have excellent traction and flexibility for hike-a-bikes on all terrain. They did not faulter even when caked in wet mud. Sufficient stiffness in sole and reasonably lightweight.

Submitted by Matt a Weekend Warrior from Wayne, PA
Date Reviewed: July 28, 2006
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $36.00
Purchased At:Performance (my LBS)
Strengths:Fit very well, nice velcro strap to keep the laces in check, stiff but walkable sole.
Weaknesses:Not much ventilation.
Similar Products Used:Old pair of leather Vittorias with old fashioned cleats
Bike Setup:'04 K2 Newport hybrid turned tourer with lots of upgrades
Bottom Line:Haven't had cycling specific shoes in a long long time and I bought these on clearance because my feet were going numb. Rode today for first time in them. The soles on these were much pretty stiff and eliminated almost all of the numbness. Energy transfer to pedals was significantly improved, my feet felt like part of the drivetrain. But, shoes don't offer much ventilation, my feet were pretty hot and my socks got soaked. Sole is great for biking, Ok (good rubber, not slippery) for walking short distances and they look enough like sneakers that you don't look like a geek.
