Submitted by Jambo Bakar a Weekend Warrior from Melbourne
Date Reviewed: September 27, 2006
Favorite Trail:Death Canyon
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $75.00
Purchased At:Phantom
Strengths:Super stiff design for an alloy crank.
Coming from a cr-mo bmx background this was a must..
Never had a issue after over 3 years of use.
Weaknesses:Could use a steel insert at the pedal end to help reduce overtightening.
Similar Products Used:Raceface DH, Truvativ DH.
Bike Setup:Stinky set up for freeride..
Bottom Line:Scored this on Phantom as a special for AU$99 years ago, they are worth that and half again when new. The only issue I had with them was the drop to 170mm which made for great DH, but I still needed to pedal the stinky up hills.
I'll be transfering these to my Stab Primo, I like them so much.

Favorite Trail:PLATTEKILL/MTN.CREEK
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $130.00
Purchased At:AJ'S DOWNCYCLES NYS
Strengths:THESE CRANKS ARMS ARE THE BEST IN THIS HARDCORE RACING, STIFF, INTERCHANGABLE W/XTR M950, I HAD THEM SINCE 1999
Weaknesses:NONE
Similar Products Used:XTR, THERE'RE GREAT BUT AC LO/PRO ARE BETTER , XT ARE GOOD BUT NOT FOR FREERIDING, CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR RACEFACE NS DH ARE THE BEST IN DH....SORRY AC
Bike Setup:1998 GT LTS, 1999 INTENSE M1,2002 GEMINI, AND NOW THEY ARE ON MY 2001 P-3 FOR DIRT JUMPING.WOW!!! 4 1/2 YEARS LATER
Bottom Line:THE AC CRANKS ARE VERY GOOD CRANKS IF YOU'RE DROPPING 6 TO 9FT DROPS AND CLEARING JUMPS OF 10 FEET OR LESS THEN THESE CRANKS ARE GOOD BUT IF YOU'RE RACER OR URBAN RIDER CHECK OUT THEIR DH COBRAS CRANKS ARM AND THEIR CROMLY-CRANKS YOU
WON'T HAVE TO GO FAR. MY CRANKS WENT FROM MY 98 LTS TO MY 2001 P-3 AND THEY STILL IN GOOD CONDITION ( LESS THE COLOR)

Date Reviewed: April 9, 2004
Favorite Trail:Redwood
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $87.00
Purchased At:www.phantomcycles.com.au
Strengths:Strong, relatively light-weight, look mad
Weaknesses:have to be careful with the pedal threads. A few changes of your pedals & the threads get a bit stuffed
Similar Products Used:Truvativ Firex,Raceface Prodigy
Bike Setup:Kona Roast '03. Psylo's, 8" Avids, Truvativ Giga-Pipe BB & fat rubber
Bottom Line:Awesome bang for ya buck. I was lucky enough to buy the arms just by them selves for a top price. Heaps strong, works well with Truvativ Giga-pipe BB
