Submitted by Florian a Downhiller from Germany, Munich
    Date Reviewed: May 14, 2008
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $31.00
    Purchased At:Local Dealer
Strengths:Perfect Grip, No flats ever, Can be driven with very low pressure with lot of control.
    Weaknesses:Heavy
Similar Products Used:Syncros BHT 2.7, Schwalbe Big Betty Goey Gluey (only 2.4")
Bike Setup:Scott Nitrous SL11 with Travis Single 180
Bottom Line:I´m no Downhill driver, more like Vertriding. (look here for an example: www.vertrider.com (not my site!))... Very steep, technical singletrail downhills with very slow driving.
This tire never let me down, very good on dry rock, muddy conditions and even in unpacked snow. Can brake on the point wherever i want. Brings in a lot of assurance.
I carry my bike uphill on my back - so the weight is bit on the high side :)
If you can get the tire for a reasonable price - Test him, you will love this tire!

Favorite Trail:PV, Luge, San Juan, Telonix
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $71.00
    Purchased At:Jones Bikes
    Strengths:Great grip, good feedback, stability
    Weaknesses:Heavy, Toobookoo$$$
Similar Products Used:WTB Timberwolf 2.5, Nikian, Hutchinson
Bike Setup:GT IT1 8"/9" FR/RR, DHX, Fox 40RC2, Sun MTX wheels, Saint brakes and rotors w/Dangerboy levers(unbeleivable upgrade!) stock pads. Michelin 24AT 2.5 on rear
Bottom Line:excellent grip, super responsive with moderate rolling resistance. Great combo with 24AT 2.5 RR/32AT 2.8 FR The tread width is actually the same as the WTB Timberwolf 2.5 on MTX wheels. The tires are a little on the heavy side and the price is absurd, but Michelin is top shelf stuff.
