    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $40.00
Strengths:Great fit, light, good ventilation, carbon knuckle protection
Weaknesses:Caused blisters the first few times, but eventually I broke them in and the fit was great. Finger stitching stinks, started unraveling after 2 months.
    Similar Products Used:Fox sidewinder
    Bike Setup:GT I-Drive 5 for XC, AM
    Rocky Mountain RMX for DH
Bottom Line:I like these gloves, and what is preventing me from loving them is the stitching. Some may not mind busting out the sewing kit, but for 40 bones I expect more durability.

Strengths:palm is layered well to keep my palms not hambergered.
Weaknesses:The glove is a bit loose at the correct size. these things start to smell funky after a couple hours of riding, and make anything they touch smell funky too. a wash would make it go away but it would come right back. my other gloves dont do that.
Bottom Line:these are OK gloves. If youre gonna get carbon gloves you might as well go all the way instead of just outer protection. Im probly gonna switch to troy lee apexes.
wished these came in hot pink or something instead of white.

    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $15.00
    Purchased At:Sierra Trading Post
Strengths:Carbon knuckle protection, wrist strap, Vents on fingers, looks good...
Weaknesses:Inner stitching leave marks on hands, uncomfortable because of the thick stitching inside the gloves, poor stitching like other Fox gloves that easily comes off after many uses and falls, not that thick padding on palms
Similar Products Used:Canari half finger glove, Fox Gatling, Fox Thermal Paw, Fox Dirtpaw
Bike Setup:Jamis Dakar XLT 3.0 (custom), Haro Mary XC - rigid & SS (custom), Iron Horse hardtail (semi-custom)
Bottom Line:This is are cool looking gloves that protects most of the outer side of your hands. The sidewinder is more comfortable.

I would still recommend these gloves for agressive riders because of the carbon knuckle protection and for the price that I payed.

Strengths:Great protection on outer knuckles, great venting so your hands aren't burning up, Good terry cloth area for wiping the goo from your face while riding hard.
Weaknesses:After 2 months my thumb has broke thru & both straps have torn at wrist.

Bottom Line:A better than most glove with great protection, all with letting your hands breathe. But be sure to buy a sewing kit along with your gloves for the future repairs you'll need to make.

    Date Reviewed: December 1, 2006
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:Looks cool, good protection, double stitching
    Weaknesses:weak palm, price
    Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:none at the moment (07 Norco Rampage on the way)
Bottom Line:The top side (back of the hand) of the gloves is very well made and designed, and the carbon looks cool and is large enough to fit comfortably on your outside knuckles.
The palm is a different stroy though.... I had one stack and went face first into the concrete (get on the dirt hey), and i put my hands out to stop me, and the palm lost all of its stitching and left a hole in them. I was very dissapointed in this palm, as the comfort of them is really very good. Marked down also for the $70 Aus price tag...

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $26.00
    Purchased At:performance
Strengths:light weight, breathable, minimalist palm padding.
Similar Products Used:several specialized xc gloves.
Bike Setup:06 Rocky Mountain Switch 2.0, Blackspire chain tensioner, maxxis minion(f) and highroller(r)
Bottom Line:I took a look at these gloves based on Mountain Bike UK's favourable review of them...
The fit of these gloves is perfect for my hand.
Palm has additional layer of "leather" securely stitched in, and no "padding" added. palm does not bunch up, provides a very direct feel of the grip/bar. I hate hate hate thick palmed gloves, and these represent the "get a feel for your bike" mentality over the padded isolated feeling of so many gloves I've tried on. I had the opportunity to superman over the bars into some nasty gravel at decent speed, and the palms show'd no deterioration. Hands were fine... elbows not so lucky.
The back of the inner 2 fingers is made of a tough feeling and flexible material and is breathable. The outer 2 fingers are made even tougher, and have perforations back towards the hand for more ventilation. Thumb has a bit of terry on it for sweaty brow wipe'n. Could use more for my likes.
The carbon knuckle thing seems a good idea. I had the misfortune of testing it on a nasty fall into rock over rock switchback, and, I have very swollen outer knuckles, but, not broke... cannot say the same for my nose.

I tend to keep stuff for a long time. My last gloves had gone thru several "repairs" to keep them going, and are no longer made.
I'm going to pick up another pair of the unabombers so that in several years when I give up on my current pair, if they are no longer made, I'll still have a new a pair.
