$130.00 | | Purchased At: | ebay | | Strengths: | strength and durability...i have done some hucks and pleanty downhill with these forks and what a set of forks they are! very strong for being QR infact one of the sturdiest set of forks i have used. the travel on them NEVER bottoms out no matter what your doing! oh and there fiarly light so quite versitile. | | Weaknesses: | they do need serviced fairly regularly if your doing harsh riding but to be honest what forks dont! | | Similar Products Used: | jr t 06 with bolt thru axle, 888rc2, 66's, RST gilla t6:P | | Bike Setup: | when i had these forks they were being used on a trek vrx 400 (2000 model) and had halo SAS wheels. what a rig, excellent freeride/downhill machine:P | | Bottom Line: | excellent pair of forks! one of the cheapest pairs of tripples you will get and the value for money with them is outstanding as there near enough bomb proof! i would reccomend the 06 model though if the budget can stretch. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

It does give you a lot of travel but the quality of the travel isn't very good. Simple damping system results in hydralic lockout or 'spiking' when too much oil tries to flow through very quickly. I'd take a 6" older SuperT any day over it, which is what I replaced it with after a few months. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Price is good as well as performance. Low maintenance. | | Weaknesses: | I along with all of my friends had to change to heavier weight oil (10 weight instead of the stock 7.5) I also changed out the top set of springs to heavy ones. Now it works awesome! With zero preload it works great on the fast rough downhills and with about 7 turns of preload it is great for big hucks 6-8 ft. F.Y.I. I weigh 175 lbs. I was always bottoming out with the stock springs and oil. from Telluride, Colorado Date Reviewed: October 23, 2002 | | Favorite Trail: | Wasatch Trail | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Purchased At: | Anchorage, Alaska | | Strengths: | Feels very plush and smooth over big hits. Also quite light weight, so its easy to lift front end. | | Weaknesses: | I twisted my arch slightly, and I dont even consider myself to be an aggresive rider. Infact, I ride as much if not more on rocky cross country trails than I do downhill. Cost $107 to replace the arch at the Marzoc. factory. Dont know how this happened - I havent had any major wrecks. Its too fragile for a 7 inch travel fork. | | Similar Products Used: | Never ridden with a heavier or longer travel fork | | Bike Setup: | 2002 Rocky Mountain RM7 Freeride - stock except for 2.5 and 2.8 inch Michellin slow rebound tires. | | Bottom Line: | If you weigh at least 150 pounds I would suggest going with a fork which has larger diameter stanchions than the 2002 Jr. T. The 2003 has 32mm stanchions, but if you want a fork that will really be more likely to last under moderate to hard (agressive) riding, than consider the Shiver or Monster T. I plan to upgrade to one of those eventually. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
