    Favorite Trail:tennessee single tracks
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
    Price Paid: $350.00
    Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:Frame is still going tough, has taken unbelievable abuse
Weaknesses:All original components died over the years, all of em!!!!!!
Bike Setup:Original frame, all else hand me downs from my other bikes, old xt shifters, stx cranks, girvin forks etc
Bottom Line:The frame is unbreakable, all other parts basically took a dump over the years of heavy abuse. The bike actually looks really nice and has all the braze ons for attaching a rear rack. I thought I would post a follow up review since it's been 5 years. I ride this bike almost daily, I don't offroad this bike anymore, but its my street beater and looks good at it. Knowing what I kno now, I would never have considered buying this bike, but I am glad i did, it got me into hardcore biking, and I am glad the LBS talked me into buying this POS when I was only looking for a front shock for my even bigger previous POS. I still love this frame!

    Date Reviewed: April 4, 2000
    Favorite Trail:Anywhere I can ride
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:Beautiful Looking bike, polished aluminum, big beefy welds with extra bracing at major stress points on frame, very lightweight.
Weaknesses:Cheap ass black plastic pedals that squeak, bolt in center of crank kept backing out until I locktighted it.
Similar Products Used:Some KHS MB, lotsa beater bikes
    Bike Setup:Pretty much stock
Bottom Line:I beat the hell outa this bike, I weigh 220lbs and use this bike constantly. The bike is absolutely gorgeous to look at, front shocks a little soft for me. I've taken some serious crashes with it with no problems to bike. Bike looks incredibly beefy but doesn't weigh much. My only real complaint is that I don't have any rear suspension, and the cheap plastic pedals on an otherwise gorgeous polished everything bike. Oh ya, the top gearing is way to much, I gotta stand up to pedal in top gear, its useful only going downhill with a tailwind. Bike stands up well to concrete steps as well as jumping and rough trail riding. Much nicer than many bikes costing twice as much
