You're Invited to IMBA's 2004 Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C., June 4-8
-- Early Registration Deadline Extended to April 30 (Save $100)

For Immediate Release, April 16, 2004

Join other mountain bikers, advocacy leaders, top federal land managers and key representatives of trail and conservation groups from around the world June 4-8 at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, for the 2004 IMBA Mountain Bike Advocacy Summit.

Summit topics include: urban trails advocacy, freeriding solutions, volunteer recruitment and management, creating a statewide access strategy, getting political, fundraising, risk management, trails and tourism development, managing for shared use, the science behind trail users, wilderness policy, increasing club membership and mechanized trailbuilding.

For the first time in IMBA's history, mountain bike advocates will spend one day on Capitol Hill, meeting with their U.S. representatives, senators and staff to introduce them to IMBA and present our federal and state access issues.

If you have already registered, make sure to pay by April 30 to receive the early registration price and save $100.

IMBA's work is led by a professional staff, volunteer board of directors and designated volunteer representatives from each U.S. state and many other countries. IMBA's backbone remains its individual membership of 32,000 and network of more than 450 off-road cycling clubs. More than 80,000 individuals are active members of IMBA's community.
