IMBA Challenges Riders Nationwide to Help Buy Famed Riding Area
For Immediate Release, August 8, 2003

Heads up riders outside New England: The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) will match the next $3,000 in non-New England donations that support the New England Mountain Bike Association's (NEMBA) campaign to buy 47 acres at the headwaters of the Upper Charles River in Milford, Massachusetts.

Known locally as "Vietnam," this parcel is a favorite riding location for Bay State mountain bikers and is under imminent threat from development. NEMBA has raised more than $185,000 to date, but they need nationwide help to collect the $210,000 purchase price by October 31, 2003.

"It's difficult to overstate the important role that IMBA has played for our organization over the years," said Philip Keyes, NEMBA executive director. "IMBA's matching campaign is yet another example of their support for cutting edge mountain bike advocacy."

To support this important land acquisition please visit http://www.nemba.org or call 800-576-3622. Remember: IMBA will double your gift!
