Tree roots and ass bones.......

I am a big guy. About 280lbs. It was one of the first days of spring last year. It had rained a couple of days before and the local trail, (Oak Mountain State Park), was damp but not too wet. It is 17 miles of meandering singletrack up and over a pretty good sized Alabama mountain. I had just bought some Maxxis Highroller 2.1 and decided to give them a go. About 7 miles into the trail which by the way is extremely rooted up in some places, there was a tree root jutting up out of the ground about 8 inches on an incline that had to be bunny-hopped. The front wheel made it over fine but the rear wheel caught on the tree root. Now, the tree root was damp as well, (i.e. slicker than snot), and as I forcefully pedaled to get the rear over the root the Highroller that I had placed so much faith in spun as if it was on ice and dumped me still clipped in directly onto the root in such a way that it went perfectly between my butt cheeks directly on my tail bone(coccyx). I looked around to see if anyone was around because I thought I might start crying like a big baby. I held back my tears and then checked the bike to see if it was ok. It was. Then I had to ride, walk 7 miles out of the woods with my ass hurting so bad that I couldn't sit on the saddle for very long. Well, I went to the Dr. the next day and he told me that I had indeed fractured my coccyx and that there was nothing that they could do. They did give me some anti-inflammatory medicine and some mild pain relievers and sent me home. To this day I will not ride anything with the Maxxis name on it. By the way I know 280lbs is big but when I started riding I weighed 362lbs.
