Seraph from Mill Valley, CA writes:

I bought my Chase stock in the beginning of '05 and began upgrading it from there. Most of the stock parts were either too heavy or not strong enough for my tastes, so I let my inhibitions sit this one out and began pimping out my ride the way I wanted to. After going through many different saddle/tire/seatpost/front brake combinations, I finally settled on one I could ride equally as well in either an urban or mountain environment. A word to the wise: buy the Deore M555 brakes, and you'll be a happy rider indeed. Cheapest, easiest to bleed, best-feeling brakes I have ever ridden.
