Endless Bike Company Lifetime Frame XC Hardtail

DESCRIPTION

The Endless Lifetime was either the first street capable cross country bike or the first cross country capable street bike. We don't quite remember which one it was, but dang it's got a killer ride.

Strength:

As far as the frame goes its light, love the horizontal drop outs, even though the frame only accepts 24" wheels in the rear (kinda strange considering that they listed XC being as its option) but hell... it holds its own very well. It rips the park, its light, the geometry is just so well designed you really feel like your riding a street bike in the park, but when your ripping single track trails or even DH you have so much stand over and control its great. It claims true to what Endless said about that frame. "god of xc and street"

The bike is great for xc aswell. I am an average size (5-11 and 150 pounds) and currently I am running the bike with 9 gears in the rear (single speed on the crank) and the bike with its seatpost at the lowest possible point and I have decent enough extension to keep riding for long distances. When you sit at the lowest point your knees are still fairly far from the frame.

Even when you turn your wheel really sharply on the spot (or even barspin) you dont feel the front tire hiting your foot. this is something that I have felt on every 26/24 bike that i've ridden. This one seems just right. Those guys at endless got it right for sure.

Weakness:

Not a big fan of the idea of being limited to a 24" frame however for a bike that claims to do what it does it does it well.

I also have a big problem with my 9th gear not being able to shift onto the chainring of my cassette because of how close that particular cog is to the frame you cant shift into that gear else the chain gets stuck between the dropout and the chainstay while still on the cog and then it just grinds the frame and does an amazing amount of damage to the paint. Sometimes even gets so stuck that you cant even get the wheel off without literally taking apart the chain and pulling as hard as you damn can!

I love the frame, minus the part of me not being able to get into gear 9... however It may simply be a configuration setting of mine. Dont rule it out just yet cause of that reason.

Run the frame single speed. Seems like its even better for it.

I run it 26/24 and from that the guys at the shop where I bought it from said it was made for it. Overall I love the frame.

Cheers hope ya enjoyed the review.
