Strengths:    Light weight, strong, cheap (they say you can't get all three).

Weaknesses:    Ugly ass stickers, which you can and should remove. Narrow 19mm rims.

Bottom Line:
These weighed as advertised, at 1560g without skewers or rim strips. I ride them primarily cross country but have hit plenty of rough trail with rocks and roots. Dumped the bike a few times. Wheels are still true and look good. Rear hub runs pretty quiet. I think a big part of the strength of these wheels is they use a 2 cross spoke pattern in front, 3 cross in back. I weigh in at 165 lbs. So I can't speak on how these would hold up for Clydesdale. Good set of wheels for budget minded cross country rider/race looking for light wheels. These wheels dropped almost a pound from my bike after swapping with the wheelset that came with the bike.
