Reasonably light. Stans Notubes licensed rim (seems to be a 24 hole version of the Flow with eyelets), includes yellow rim tape and tubeless valves. Stiff, and bombproof (I'm 200 lbs, ride a 30lb bike and carry a CamelBak mule, and cannot damage them)

The QR version cannot be converted to thru axles in either the front or rear

Purchased on closeout for an absolute bargain from ChainReactionCycles, and loved them since. I've not got them tubeless, as I had two sets of regular tires to wear out before I can buy some tubeless tires. I ride XC/AM and am not a light rider, and they're been great. I stepped up in width from Mavic 717's to these, and my 2.3 tires are much more stable on the wider rim.

I was worried about 24 spokes compared to my previous 32 spoke wheels, but the stans rim and eyelets are sufficient.

Rear wheel: These wheels lasted 2 weekends of racing enduro. The i checked spoke tension after every run and still lost spokes in rear wheel after a day of riding. after the second weekend of enduro racing (while tightening spokes after every run) i lost 4 spokes and had an almost catastrophic failure.


i waranteed the rear wheel. which they were good about.

road the wheel set for a few more weekends. then the front wheel failed catastrophically. the spokes on the front hub ripped out of the hub. The spoke literally bent metal in the hub and came out on a medium banked turn, i was probably going about 15 mph. the wheel failed, all spokes ripped out, and i fell on my face. lucky i was only going 15 mph.

never going to buy another sun ringle wheel again.

Flimsy, spoke come loose after ever ride or two, hubs suck

I've had these wheels for about 4 months and they are done already. I ride mostly AM and XC and I've still manages to flat spot the front wheel once, and the back wheel twice on small (3-4') drops because the spokes had came loose on a longer ride. I have had to tighten spokes and true the wheels after every ride. Also the 20mm adapter for the front wheels are not that great. They let don't shield the bearings very well and the bearings, front and rear, are getting rough already. The back cassette body is almost seized up already also. Every once in a while it will catch and I'll get the chain all caught up in the cassette. I wouldn't recommend these wheels.

Being that Sun Ringle liscensed the BST tech from Stans NOtubes, these rims are awesome! Tubeless compatible with a floor pump and Eyeleted rims. I wanted something beefy for my all Mtn adventures and with the 28mm rim width and Tubless tech, these wheels don't dissapoint.
I run the Black Flag Expert on my 29er for the same reasons as stated above. They Rock!
Sun Ringle is putting out some sleeper wheels these days for a reasonable price and it's nice to see in the day and age of $10,000 carbon wheelset.
These flat out work and work darn well for the price!

Front hub bearings exposed to dirt and mud cause the 20 mm adapters are not well done...

Sun Ringle Charger Expert 26" wheelset is a good product, real weight is 1880 gr. (front and rear) with Stan’s No Tubes BST Technology Rim Tapes and valves assembled, not so bad!
Ok, the msrp price is high, but you can easily save a lot of money on the web.
The hubs have a good flow. The rear hub makes the typical Sun-Ringle loud sound, not the right equipment to do a trap on the trail!
20 mm and 15 mm adapters are included as rear quick release and Stan’s No Tubes BST Technology Rim Tapes and valves and 2 x Stan's No Tubes tire sealant 2oz bottles, so all you need to mount tubeless tires.
The only negative is 20 mm front adapters, they don't keep the bearings cleaned...
