a Racer
from santa barbaraDate Reviewed: June 4, 2010
Strengths: very light, tires mount flawlessly, i got them as a present for girlfriend, and they lost 2 lbs of her already light specializedWeaknesses: they look very thin and are said to be race only, I think they would last me a week of my riding, my girl is 100lb and very easy on her bike but fast uphillBottom Line: race wheel is lightweight and I might use it for race only but it seams even too week for that. the sidewalls on the rim are paper thin so you have to be very careful of the pressure in these. the low sidewall and high rim design is genius and makes the tubeless setup work amazing. as well as making it a super stable tire at low tire pressures. just because of that design I am getting the crest rims which are the beefed up version of these, and leaving these for my 100lb girlfriend. I really want to see this low sidewall rim design on a carbon rim that can hold up to the abuse.
but for innovative design = 5 chillies
