Product Description

The Shimano MT55 29er wheelset is made to meet the demands of the everyday trail rider. It prizes strength, durability and performance. The MT55 features many technologies that are found on much higher end wheels at a fraction of the cost, like welded rim joints for strength and a 21mm inner rim width, making the MT55 perfect for today's high volume tires. Shimano also makes their own spokes so they can control quality and uses straight pull for the MT55. This allows greater tension on the wheel, so they are stiffer in corners and offer greater stability while turning and acceleration which is cruscial for a 29er wheel. Shimano's Cenerlock interface is the lightest on the market for disc brakes and also easy and secure. When you need a wheel that can get the job done without any fuss, the Shimano MT55 29er wheels will get it done. Features Weight: 2082 grams (948 F, 1134 R - with rim strip) Welded rim joint 21mm inner rim width Large nipples won't strip Sealed Cup & Cone bearings Quick freehub engagement 15mm QR front hub Centerlock disc rotor mount 29er wheels, won't fit on a 26

Strengths:    very stiff, very light good for xc race this wheelset will never let you down... and the price is very reasonable..

Weaknesses:    none at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bottom Line:
im using a mavic 717, xt hubs, dt spokes in my 26er and its all feel same with this this mt55 29er. i highly recommend this wheelset for a 29er bike.. and i dont used it just for fun ride, i use it for some hardcore trail riding i can not feel any flex on it... thumbs up for this wheelset... and it is so cheap for its performance..
