Strengths: Good lookingWeaknesses: Weak spoke areaBottom Line: Not sure I will buy them again, until mavic makes the better. The rear wheel is basically gone, spoke areas are cracked.they suffer from this. And,mavic will not help without more money.I am 165 lbs,and I will look for different wheels.I always wanted a pair, and now regret geting them, and apart from falling apart the are not true.

Strengths: Strength and WeightWeaknesses: ?? There are none for meBottom Line: These wheels are worth every penny to me and quite a bit more. After destroying four rear wheels after less than 1000 miles of use, I bought these wheels as a $100.00 upgrade from the Aksiums (how great of a deal is that?) with a new Felt and have done 3000 miles of hard training on the bike in the last six months. I am 6'4" and weighed 230 when I started (I now weigh 200) and have hit huge Honolulu pot holes quite a few times without affecting the wheels at all. I have climbed some of the 10 degree + hills around Oahu many times and have had the guys at IT&B tweek (I mean just "tweak") the rear wheel only once. I only needed a strong set of wheels but these are the bonus of being incredibly light as well. I would do it again in a second - Amazingly strong.

Strengths: light, smooth, fast once rolling...Weaknesses: yeah the wheels look, but that where the good points end. very weak wheel set, i would rather a set from a k-mart bikeBottom Line: the bottom line. well i have been riding for some time now and i have never incounted a set of rims like this, total crap!! what is mavic spending there money? we all like to watch pros ride, and mavic says that the rides are testing the new produces while racing, give them a set of wheel and tell them to race a season on them and then hand them back too mavic for a good look.. i have to take my wheels in for straighting atleast twice a month.. rides please take note, these rims are not worth a cent, and will create more problems them they are worth....

Strengths: Look good, Stayed true to the endWeaknesses: The end came to soonBottom Line: Cracks developed on the rim at the spoke threads. The fix is a new and expensive rim replacement. These are high end rims and should last longer. I am 150lb rider and I use these for recreational and commuting.

Strengths: Gives bike awesome look. Light, stiff, fast wheelset.Weaknesses: Mavic customer service. Broken spoke after 1000 miles.Bottom Line: Nice wheels for racing. Broke a spoke after 1000 miles of use. Couldn't ride home because wheel was so out of true. Sold them because can't trust them anymore. Bought King hubs laced to Open Pros. Now I am happy and worry free.

Strengths: Light, fast, stiff, cool lookingWeaknesses: Not reliable. Proprietary spokes. Need special spoke wrench.Bottom Line: For the first 1150 miles I loved these wheels. They ran straight, never had to true them. Then today I was doing a big gear sprint (slightly downhill) and heard a pop and felt something give. Not a good feeling at 35 mph. When I came to a stop I noticed that one of the spokes on the rear wheel, left side (aka non-drive side), had popped off the hub. It didn't break or fail in any way, it just popped off the hub. I'm a light guy (160 lbs), not super strong, and I have good sprint technique -- bottom line, there is no reason why the spoke should have come off. I have no confidence in these wheels anymore.

Strengths: light weight, attractiveWeaknesses: In two years I have broken two rear rims, riding about 5K miles per year.Bottom Line: too fragile. I have spent hundreds of dollars on replacement rims. I am currently having difficulty with Mavic returning my local bike shops calls for a replacment rim. A definite DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Strengths: Rigidity while they last, weightWeaknesses: failure under stress, weak bearing lub at purchase timeBottom Line: I had extremelly good experiences in the last 8 months with my ksyriums - going uphill, downhill whatever, they were allways a set of wheels a person can trust.
But......this weekend while going uphill my rear rim broke. It's amazing how can a high end (with a proportional price tag) can be broken so easily.
In this sense, I do not recommend this wheels for someone who is expecting to buy the best pair of wheels. They are good but they fail. I'm now waiting to check how portuguese distributor will handle this issue.

Strengths: Mavic Kysrium SL's. Light, fast. look niceWeaknesses: Reliability - cracks at spokes along rim in two places after just six months use - not impressed with poor endurance. I'm 85 kilo and moderately quick rider. These wheels should be better quality for the money.Bottom Line: Sorry guys, don't buy these wheels. While they seem to have a good reputation, I have found they don't last. Six months light to moderate use has ended up with a rear rim with two cracks eminating from both sides of two spokes. This kind of quality I expect from cheap Asian copies that fall off the back of trucks - not high priced Mavic product. At this rate I will need a new rim two times a year - not happy and will not buy or recommend Kysrium SL's again

Strengths: Stiff, strong, light, perfectly round, stays true. Skewer action especially good. Very little maintenence, but I've never crashed them.Weaknesses: Expensive, but you get what you pay for.Bottom Line: These are the best wheels I've ever owned, and I been racing for 20 years. Didn't like the Spinergy's, because they weren't perfectly true, not stiff enough, and heavy, but these wheels are fabulous! Very easy to adjust out any hub play. They convey a sense of high qualilty, professional wheels. If you can afford them, get 'em.

Strengths: rear-wheel stiffer than first asumedWeaknesses: expensiveBottom Line: This is a follow-up of my earlier review, it seems that the rear-wheel had some play in the bearings wich was helped in a second and now it's stiff enough.
A few weeks ago i crashed in the sprint of a classic, three spokes in the front wheel were damaged en wheel was bent, after inserting three new spokes(in one week delivered)it was as new.
After the next competition my rear wheel wasn't true anymore, but like a conventional wheel it was straight after bringing some more and less tension to a few spokes.
So i'am very pleased with the wheels and they also look nice!
