Strengths: Nice smooth mavic hubs.Weaknesses: Unacceptably poor durability. I weigh less than 150 lbs, and the washers started breaking around 1000 miles.Bottom Line: The spoke heads in the rim sit in a "washer" that breaks easily. I know at lease 2 other riders with these wheels that have the same problem. Colorado Cyclist won't sell the washers, and referred me to Mavic. Mavic will not sell the washers, and wants to overhaul the wheels ($$ - out of warranty). If the Ksyriums have this setup - watch out!

Strengths: Aero. Front wheel is durable. Great hubs.Weaknesses: Only 20 spokes in rear wheel--the spokes loosen. Heavy rims. Difficult to true thanks to straight pull spokes.Bottom Line: The wheels are faster than my 36 spoke beater wheels (goto bicycleracewheels.com for aero comparison data), but I am disappointed with the rear wheel. 20 spokes is to few. The questionable light weight (is an ~800g f/1100g r wheel set light?) is achieved by low spoke count. The rims (painted CXP 30) are over 500g. You could build a less expensive wheelset w/ a stronger rear and similar aerodynamics by adding some spokes. The hubs are _really_ smooth--spin the wheel and it spins for a looooong time.

Strengths:
Light, aerodynamic, reliable so far(> 2500 miles), cool looking - helps to demoralise those with standard wheels.Weaknesses:
Back wheel does not seem as stiff as a standard 36H wheel when accelerating.Bottom Line: The wheels are light, Dura Ace front with open pro and DT db spokes and brass nipples weighs 120 + 200 + 32 + 410 = 762g, the Cosmic front is 810 excluding rim tape. The bearings are incredibly smooth and have not deteriorated at all with use. I have not had the problems descibed below except for some spokes rotating slightly but this is easily resolved with cloth covered pliers. I have not had to true the wheels and experienced no breakages. the wheels are scary fast on high speed descents and I'm sure they are worth time in time trials.
