Strengths:    None

Weaknesses:    Flimsy rims, poor engineering.

Bottom Line:
Bought these wheels thinking I was upgrading from the Open Pro. Wrong! After just a few miles (50) the bladed spokes started turning sideways. There is nothing to prevent this from happening. No locks and spokes are round on the hub end and spin freely when loose. Very poor design. Rim was trashed after 100 miles. LBS replaced it free of charge and adding that many of these are coming back. Extreme poor design and worse quality control. Bike mechanic told me that you must used "locktite" compound to prevent spokes from coming loose!!

Strengths:    never needed to be trued

Weaknesses:    creaking, hub failure

Bottom Line:
about 2 years into using the wheel, it started to creak under hard pedaling. about 3 months ago, the rear hub seized. fortunately, the weather is better for the trails this time of year... on the other hand, the wheel is still as true as it was on the first ride.

Weaknesses:    This is a followup to my post of a couple of years ago after my first season on these wheels. The rear rim is cracking around the spoke holes! (about 6 of them) They're out of warranty, so I'm replacing them with a set of Rolf Vector Comps. FWIW, the front wheel is still just fine.

Bottom Line:
I'm lowering my rating due to this durability issue. Some people have said that I should expect to go through wheels every few years...this is the first set I've had to replace because they're breaking in 12 years of riding! (replaced rims before because they're dented or taco'd...that's it)

Strengths:    Aerodynamics,durability.

Weaknesses:    Noise.

Bottom Line:
The spokes creak.
I've tried tightening them, lubing the spoke nipples, and lubing the spoke heads at the hub.I know it's the wheels because my bike doesn't creak with my 32 spoke Open pro's.The wheels work great, although they are not very good for rain rides/races because the rims fill up with water.
I'd give 'em 5 of those flaming things if they weren't so damn noisy.Anybody know how to fix them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Strengths:    Price, aero, looks

Weaknesses:    Strange clicking noise when I brake, not that light.

Bottom Line:
I now get a strange clicking noise under heavy breaking, can't trace it to anything else on the set up, wondering if it has something to do with welds and large hollow space of aero box. Any suggestions about what to do email mbehrent@yahoo.com.

Strengths:
Light, relatively cheap, aero, true like crazy! Nice looking esp. with Axial Pro tires.

Weaknesses:
I'm scared what's going to happen if I break a spoke since they are all radial laced (ex. drive side rear 3x) with heaps of tension. Also, replacing spokes might be a pain. Possibly a little stiff...but I also have them on a new Alu frame and my old bike was bonded CF.

Bottom Line:
Only 4 chillies because of possible repair hassles.
