Lighter equals faster, and every little bit helps. Eat right, train right, and give yourself every competitive advantage. Here's one of those advantages -- the Industry Nine Ultralite Race wheelset. At some 200 grams lighter than the Mavic CrossMax SLR, the Ultralite Race wheelset can make just that bit of difference you need. The difference between the Industry Nine Ultralite Race Wheelset and the Industry Nine Ultralite Wheelset is in the rim. The UltraLite has a Stan's No Tubes Crest rim and the Race version has a Stan's ZTR Podium MMX Rim. The Industry Nine Ultralite Wheelsets use their Ultralite spokes, machined from 7075-T6 aluminum to .090" instead of the standard .100" diameter. They are laced to their proprietary hubs featuring 3 degrees of engagement -- ideal for quick starts and technical climbs. Instead of the standard 17-4 Stainless Steel endcaps, the UL and UL Race wheelsets receive alloy endcaps, sacrificing a tiny bit of durability for another 40 or so precious grams -- every little bit counts. These are serious race wheels. The Industry Nine Ultralite Race Wheelset is available with matching spokes and hubs in anodized red or black laced to a Stan's No Tubes ZTR Podium MMX rim. It has a 15mm thru-axle front and standard quick release rear hub. If you'd like a quick release front hub, we most likely have the small parts on hand to make the conversion for you, simply let us know. And if these color options aren't what you had in mind and would like something custom, give us a ring or drop us a line as Industry Nine can customize a wheelset in most any color combination on any rim -- it will require a wait of 10-12 weeks though. Skewers are not included. 1320gTubeless 101: The Why and the How Explained. Please Note: Industry Nine recommends a rider weight limit of 165 lbs for these Ultralite Race Wheels.
