Strengths: These wheels came with a demo bike purchased at Golden Cycles in Littleton. Liked the look of the wheels are they preformed really well. I am 6'3" and 200 pounds so need a strong rim and these were going well until.....Weaknesses: the rear hub and free-wheel hub failed. Something that I would not expect after only 6 months of riding 2 times a week. Tried to sort it out with Golden Bike Shop who blamed Fulcrum. They couldn't even get spare parts. Same story from New Zealand Fulcrum distributor. So I ditched the wheel set and purchased Stans ZTR Arches and they are awesome!Bottom Line: I have been 'forced' into buying a new wheel set because Fulcrum and Golden Bike Shop let me down. Never again guys, never again.

Strengths: Strength, Colour, SmoothnessWeaknesses: Rear off side spokes came looseBottom Line: Within a couple of rides the rear off side spokes were loose and rattling. I took it to the local bike shop and asked them to true it, tighten the spokes and Loctite them. Since doing this the wheels have been great. Interestingly the bike shop thought it was normal and expected - but is it unreasonable to expect for that price that the wheel stays true?
I'm 220lbs and am a strong powerful rider. I have a history of breaking things - cranks, frames etc. Now the teething problems are fixed, I can say the wheels are strong, rigid and the hubs are smooth. The colour is a personal taste thing - I have a few touches of red on the bike so the wheels fit the overall colour scheme.

Strengths: reliable, stay trueWeaknesses: priceBottom Line: Assembled with no inner tube, standard tires (kenda karma 2.2) and Stan's liquid, they have been so far trouble free and straight as new despite my weight (210lb/95kg).
The bike has been very predictable and easy to control on fast rough terrain descents, braking has no side effects
