Easton's Havoc DH Wheels are designed for serious abuse. By that we mean, go downhill as often as possible, as fast as possible, over the gnarliest terrain you can find. If they're good enough for Team Lapierre's World Cup racers like former world champ Nico Vouilloz and superfast Kiwi Sam Blenkinsop, then you can be sure that you can give 'em hell on your local DH track.Where other wheels might fall short on the details, Easton made sure to build the Havoc DH wheels with a few tricks that make them mega durable. Of course, they run on sealed cartridge bearings, but what interests us is that Easton doubles the bearings on the brake side of the front wheel and on the drive side of the rear -- exactly where the most abuse and strain is exerted on each, respectively. Easton chose to make the rims super wide at 32mm in order to fit the big 2.5-2.7" downhill tires that'll get you to the bottom of the course without flatting. The alloy rims have stainless eyelets on the spoke holes to add durability. The eyelets also make truing easier due to their hard surface against which the spoke nipples turn. The single butted stainless steel spokes are custom drawn to Easton's spec by DT Swiss, and their 2.3mm hub end makes them supremely durable to ward against unexpected breakage.The Easton Havoc DH 26" Disc Wheelset is all Black from the hubs to the rims. The front hub is designed to accept a 20mm thru-axle, and the rear is configured for a 12x150mm thru-axle. Rim strips are included.
