Strengths:    Good looks

Weaknesses:    Soft aluminium in the rims. And once skew you can't straighten them.

Bottom Line:
These are the worst wheels I have ever seen/tried in this price range. The rims get skew way too easily and only 24 spokes can't straighten them, not even by CB's mechanics!?

This is probably because there's too much distance between the spokes. So instead of pulling the rim sideways when thightening the spokes the spokes pull the rim closer to the hub and you see the problem...
But if you are lucky and your wheel gets skew at exactely the right spot you might get it straight.

The rims get dented REALLY easily too, I'd say they are similar to the dt swiss d540 rims on that point.

And spare parts are silly expensive, a new rim costs £90, that's £30 more than mavic charges for a rim to the dee max wheels. And I haven't got any price on spokes yet...

So I'd like to say: DON'T buy these if you at all intend to use the bike! This is really a worthless product in a cool and different but just as worthless design...

Strengths:    VERY VERY strong, look the business.

Weaknesses:    None so far BUT we'll see how they handle a few UK gritty, muddy winters.

Bottom Line:
Its a good looking freeride wheelset so not the lightest, however they are pretty good on weight for what they are(lighter than the OE wheels by a few hundred grams). I've ridden some flinty South Downs drops and clattered off some large rocks without dinging then, landed a few jumps ham-fistedly and they are still straight. CRC are doing a good deal on them at the moment.
