Strengths: Really loved these wheels.I bought them cause i wanted the rollability...{i do a commute to work...when i wake up early enough..} tread is still where you need it considering the type of tire it is..Weaknesses: obvious traction issues in the slippery sections...but hey thats not what the tire is designed for..other then that ..never picked up a flat , good tire strenght..really NO weakness for what they are......FAST
I would not recommened this tire for "real" trail riding .if thats what you want ,try the panaracer fire x pro...Bottom Line: Super tires .....wanna go fast? great overall traction and wearability....i sold them as SLICKS 2 years later and still made $20 bucks LOL......

Strengths: Mounts easy
Holds up as the miles add on
Grips well in corners
Rolls FastWeaknesses: Really only good on hardpack to slightly looseBottom Line: I paid $40 for a set. They have had a lot of miles on them and still look and work great. However, if the trail gets too loose or muddy, these aren't tires you want on. Side knobs grip the corners well. I was very impress how the tires held up in turns at Stumpfarm which is a sandy hardpack. The corners were kinda loose, but the side knobs really dug in.

Strengths: Nice packaging, they come unfolded
Sealant, rim tape and tire level included
Light
Black wall
Fast rolling surface
Eazy to install
Holds airWeaknesses: Only sutable for hard packedBottom Line: This is my first impression, as I didn't put a lot of milage thru them.
They mounted easily, used soapy water like they recommended in the intruction. I like the idea that Maxxis include a tire lever, very convenient. 15 minutes later, after installing the tires, I gave them a spin in front of my place and I noticed a huge difference. Before, I was riding with a Hutchinson Python UST in front and a Scorpion UST in the back. They were very noisy and vibrated like crazy, specially the Scorpion. Now, it's super smooth and effortless. They seems to hold air better than the Hutchinson too. At 35$ for the set on Ebay, it's a steal!

Strengths: FastWeaknesses: Easy to puncture on gravel due to lack of knobs in the middle- I got a flat on a gravel road, but have never had a flat on xc trails.Bottom Line: I got these at a bike swap for $5.00 each only got them because they were cheap and looked like they would roll fast. They are not good for real loose ground, wet grass, or mud. Great for hard packed trail. I give only 3 for value because if you have to pay $60.00 they are not worth that. But would be a good deal at half of that and a great deal for $5.00.
