Date Reviewed: July 10, 2009
Favorite Trail:United States
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $70.00
Purchased At:Bike shop
Strengths:Good tubeless tires.
Weaknesses:Not great on the rocks and technical stuff.
Similar Products Used:Hutchinson Toro
Bike Setup:2 bikes: Turner Sultan and Niner MCR (used GEAXs on the MCR)
Bottom Line:Great for cross country, but go with knobbies for the tough stuff (which is what we have in central Maryland). I had Hutchinson Pythons on my Sultan and I switched to Toros, which I thought these would be similar to. I just bought a second pair of Toros for the MCR.

Date Reviewed: February 9, 2009
Favorite Trail:Switchback
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $75.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:( TNT version) Very fast rolling, tremendous on loamy trails where they handle incredibly, good wear, well made.
Weaknesses:No fun on wet roots and rocks as they will send you flying without carefull line selection, hard compound that takes some set up with air pressures for the specific terrain. ( Maybe not so much a weakness as a strong trait)
Similar Products Used:First time w/ tubeless
Bike Setup:'07 Element 70
Bottom Line:Impressive tire in the right circumstance. For our West Coast weather, I'll be trying the new Gato to see how it fares.

Favorite Trail:logwood
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $35.00
Purchased At:westrand
Strengths:The tyre is very fast, and performs well in loose gravel and rocky conditions. We find the tyre great for most conditions here, hard pack, mud and rocks. We purchased the TNT versions which is lighter than UST and has an amazinglg strong sidewall!
Weaknesses:none
Similar Products Used:Maxis Larsens, Hutchingson Pythons
Bike Setup:Cannondale Scalpel, with XTR
Bottom Line:Great tyres, definantly worth purchasing a pair........the TNT versions!
