Submitted by RC a Cross Country Rider from Golden, CO, USA
Date Reviewed: August 10, 2009
Favorite Trail:Colorado
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $60.00
Purchased At:lbs
Strengths:Mounts easy, strong sidewalls, soft rubber grips rocks well, nice in the loamy soil.
Weaknesses:wear, braking traction, cornering
Similar Products Used:maxxis advantage, crossmark, ignitor, nevegal,WTB stuff
Bike Setup:Ellsworth Epiphany, full XTR with DT Swiss 240, 4.2 tubeless set up, Thomson, Marta SL
Bottom Line:tried only as a rear tire. Center of tread wore really fast. I found the braking to be poor, drifted easily in the corners and felt slow on pavement, hardpack. The sidewalls are great and mounting is easy. Seemed narrow for 2.2. Sheds mud well. Not my favorite tire for front range CO.

Favorite Trail:Brownsville Track and Field
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $48.00
Purchased At:Bicycle World
Strengths:Grips very well though loose dirt, sand, and mud. Cornering is amazing. They make climbing a whole lot easier and they grip they well over roots.
Weaknesses:A lot of resistance on hard pack and thats about it.
Similar Products Used:Specialized Fast Trak LK Sport
Bike Setup:2009 Rockhopper Comp Disk. 2.2 front and rear.
Bottom Line:Overall I would suggest them to anyone looking for more grip. They do there job and are a great buy

Submitted by DGOBKR a Racer from Durango Colorado
Date Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Favorite Trail:Elbert Creek to Hermosa Creek
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Rails corners
Climbs anything
fun tire for training and fun-rides
Weaknesses:A little extra rolling resistance when on hardpack
Similar Products Used:Nevagal, Small block 8, Race King, Python
Bike Setup:Carbon hartail XC bike. 2.4 up front, 2.2 in the back
Bottom Line:I put these on my training wheels to ride the spring trails around Dgo. My 1st ride in 2 months, and with these tires, I had no fear descending and riding tech lines fast. They rail corners really well and get up steep climbs without slipping out. I did notice the rougher ride on the roads, but these tires are for the mountain. If I need a a fast rolling tire I will stick with the Race Kings.

Submitted by Ugene a Cross Country Rider from Fullerton, Ca.
Date Reviewed: March 7, 2009
Favorite Trail:El Morro
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $58.00
Purchased At:The Path
Strengths:Awsome traction for climbing, braking and cornering. Lighter than Nevegals, hold air better, easy to mount and seat, faster handling.
Weaknesses:Can't find any yet...
Similar Products Used:Hutchison Spyder Tubeless, IRC Mythos Tubless, Kenda Nevegal Tubeless
Bike Setup:Ellsworth Epiphany, Rox RLC Talas, Mavic 819s
Bottom Line:Been a tubeless fan for years -- was on the Nevegals for the last three. I thought the Nevegals were unbeatable until I tried the Contis. At the same air pressure (26) they are better in every respect. They are a little quicker handling than the Nevegals -- I think due to the more straight/stiff sidewalls. So far the durability and toughness seem about the same. They are on the expensive side and I had to order them but all I can say is Wow!

Submitted by tarilinz a Weekend Warrior from Many Farms AZ
Date Reviewed: March 7, 2009
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $45.00
Strengths:Easy to put on tubeless
Good Traction
Good wear
Weaknesses:None I know of
Similar Products Used:Bontrager Big Earl
Bike Setup:Trek EX8 2008, changed the seat to Brooks B17, Seat post and handlebar stem to Thompson
Bottom Line:Easy to put on for tubeless. I put this on with Stans and a floor pump, no problem. Got other brand of tires, Hutchinson, can't do the same, guess I'll have to find an air compressor. I had the Big Earl's on and on sand they were squirrely on the sand. These handle the sand much better. Have about 300 miles on the, tread is holding up. I go slow, so I don't know how they are for downhill. I am in the desert, so I don't know how they on on mud. So far they have been great on sand and rocks.
