Strengths:    Good grip, good tracking, rolls well for a knobby, relatively lightweight.

Weaknesses:    Sidewalls tearing

Bottom Line:
initially I loved these tires for their great compromise between lightweight, good volume, good rolling, and rail-like grip in the looser corners, but now I am not so sure. I ride in rocks and cactus in Tucson, and it is hard on the tires. In a year I have had zero issues with any tire I have run, but have torn 2 of these soon after new. This was in features I often ride, and a lot harder regularly. A friend has also torn 2 of these in quick succession, so I do not understand how other reviewers can praise the sidewall strength, just feeling them they seem flimsy to me, and this seems to have been borne out by our experiences here. I cannot recommend these for anyone riding in rocky conditions, but they would be great if sharper rocks are something you avoid successfully.

Strengths:    Tire bead makes installation and removal quite easy. Rolls quite well and is relatively quite on pavement considering the substantial tread.

Weaknesses:    These tires do not perform well when wet. After water crossings, the tires slip on dry rocks and dry roots far worse than any tire I have used in the past (using this tire as front and back). Additionally, picks up and retains loamy and muddy soil, i.e. does not shed well at all.

Bottom Line:
Bought these tires to get by for the rest of the season. After this season concludes I will be searching for a new tire setup and put these on my spare bike. I would not recommend these tires.

Strengths:    Excellent grip, very strong sidewalls, very comfortable compound.

Weaknesses:    A little on the heavy side. But hey, they are TLR.

Bottom Line:
These are excellent all-round tires, they perform well on rocky terrain, technical climbs, loose over packed, etc, haven't really tested them on muddy conditions, but on the chances I have had, they have performed well.

I run them as ghetto tubeless and they are very easy to set up, haven't have any problems in the 3 months, of course, no flats, but I always carry a tube, just in case.

Strengths:    Long life, excellent grip, durable sidewalls, rolls well for a knobby tire

Weaknesses:    none so far

Bottom Line:
Great tire. I've ridden these at whistler, northstar, and climbed thousands of vertical feet with them to reach singletrack. They last a pretty long tome for a rear tire, goin on 8 months and i think i can squeeze a few more months out of them, and they lock up great in most soil conditions. Very predictable tire, highly recommended for all mountain applications

Strengths:    Very good grip. Very good sealing (with Stan's).

Weaknesses:    Price. Don't know about tread life yet.

Bottom Line:
This review is for the XR4 TLR 26 x 2.2 Team Issue.

These tires have made a bike I thought was already very good even better. I made test runs over a one hour course at 30, 35, and 40 psi. The tires are fantastic at 30 psi. I can power out of an apex with the bike leaned over. Small bump compliance at the front has drastically improved - my GPS is not longer in danger of being rattled to death. The bike now seems to roll even faster down hill. Maybe that's just the effect of not feeling the roughness of the trail.

I'm running the XR4 front and rear. I'm not a racer (I just want to ride fast) and lots of the trails I ride are loose, so I decided to not try the XR2 on the rear. The XR3, which is probably intended for my bike, isn't available yet.
