Product Description

Panaracer SuperTube 26" x 1.6-2.1" 36mm Presta Valve Tube: The Super Tube is 50 percent thicker than regular butyl tubes for staunch flat protection. Great for DH and urban riding. Double-thickness butyl with a super spongy formula reduces pinch flats.

Strengths:    No flats in two years, I used this same tube with three different tires. No issues. I am buying a new set today because it's only a matter of time before I get a flat.

Weaknesses:    None

Bottom Line:
Great Product

Strengths:    Nice tough tube, holds air well. Extra thick for protection against flats.

Weaknesses:    None, maybe a little heavy

Bottom Line:
Good quality tube for the price. Just wish you could find them at more places. If you look hard enough you can still find some.

Strengths:    Holds air great! They hold air unlike the thin tubes out there. I got the 1.625 to 2.10 size.

Weaknesses:    None!

Bottom Line:
These are great tubes. I have not had a flat yet. These are about 255g each but well worth it. I used to run the tire liners with thin tubes and got tired of airing them up all the time. Now I don't have to run any liners!!! So i'm actually saving weight because the tire liners were heavy.

Strengths:    Heavy duty tube that appears to be pinch-proof

Weaknesses:    None for its intended purpose

Bottom Line:
Took alot of abuse including lots of urban rides down staircases and drops off retaining walls. I went through 4 tubes in 2 weeks before I tried these and have only had to replace one due to an unseen steel rod hidden in the tall grass that wound up in my spokes and actually snapped the valve stem right off and bent a spoke!

Strengths:    great tube! not to heavy, good presta valve, just the right thickness

Weaknesses:    Not thorn resistant, but I gave it a shot with the slime tire liner and it lasted three months. I patched holes in the tubes every other ride.

Bottom Line:
inexpensive medium heavy tube that works well in thornless riding conditions.

Strengths:    Tough, not too heavy

Weaknesses:    Rare

Bottom Line:
I used a set of super tubes on my Tracer for an entire season without a flat! I ended up moving across wheelsets, using them with 3 different tires (my tires wore out before the tubes). Anyway, they're not DH tubes, but strong XC/trail for my 200 lb arse.

Anybody have any experience with these? At 140 grams a tube they sound great...but ultimately I'm concerned with their durability. Thanks, -jc.Read More »
