Date Reviewed: April 29, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:No pinchflats, can run lower air pressure
Weaknesses:HEAVY!!!!!!!
Bike Setup:7point, super t, RS pearl 3.1 etc etc
Bottom Line:WAY to heavy for my taste. I run reg tubes from performance 2.3-2.5 so much lighter. The key is once you find the right air pressure you dont need DH tubes.

Favorite Trail:Kona Dark Side
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $20.00
Purchased At:Some Shop
Strengths:REALLY think, hard as nails.
Weaknesses:Heavy!
Similar Products Used:Hutchison latex, Specialised DH tubes, other crappy tubes.
Bike Setup:Just added RaceFace cranks, BB, Bashring, and new SRAM chain and Cassette.
Bottom Line:Just took it out riding to test my new bashring, and have nailed it really hard off every square edge I can find. They were the kind of hits where I fully expected a burst tube/taco'd rim, but no, they still held up strong, and I was using Spesh DH tubes before! This is a MONSTROUS tube!

Price Paid: $15.00
Purchased At:landry's
Strengths:no flats at all
Weaknesses:expensive
Similar Products Used:nothing for DH/FR
Bike Setup:01 GT avalance 2.0 w/ beefy components
Bottom Line:sweet tubes, no problem w/ low psi. i have em in 2.4 moto raptors and even though it says 2.5-2.7 they are fine. kinda heavy but who cares... they aren't made for superlight XC bikes. going down is more fun anyways...

Strengths:-No flats in 1 year
-do not lose air even if not use for a long time
Weaknesses:- a bit heavy, but not an issue if you go DH
Similar Products Used:kenda 2.5 tubes
Bike Setup:2002 bullit, 5th E, Super T,

Favorite Trail:Rollercoaster
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $11.00
Purchased At:On Yer Bike
Strengths:* Tough
* Durable
* High pressure valves (thumbs up)
* BIG
Weaknesses:* The valve on my rear tube split but i replaced with a higher quality one anyway so no love lost there.
* HEAVY AS A MOFO
* expensive
*
Similar Products Used:The only reason the IRC is here is because it is a tube, rendering it similar.
* IRC DH tube (NEVER BUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!)
* Specialized
Bike Setup:Would take too long to go into....
Bottom Line:A nice, heavy grunty tube i would recommend for anyone not on a budget, financial, weight or otherwise and who rides downhill like a speed demon. I recommend when you buy these, buy two spare valves just in case, the one on my back wheel serperated for no reason other than maxxis quality control.

Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $14.00
Purchased At:janson
Strengths:thick rubber
Weaknesses:weight
Similar Products Used:regulat tubes
Bike Setup:yep
Bottom Line:i'm not a weight weanie(usually), but if you run double wides, and gazza3.0, you start to noticethe extra weight.
i could ron 7 pounds of air in front, and 10 in the back, and do a 7 foot drop or slam my rear tore against a curb and nothing would happen, even tho sometimes i feel the tire hit the rim it still doesn't pinch flat, gazza's doublewides and these babies are a pefrect match for ant sick ba$tard like me or you, i give them five flamin' minkeys for their strength
