The MX (Motocross) utilizes the same aggressive transitions and outside knobs as the Prowler XT, but features a shifted center tread. The MX is a highly predictable tire at speed, boasting deep-piercing lateral grip in loose conditions. The 2.5-inch version excels on treacherous descents and high-speed chutes while the MX 2.1-inch thrives on epic, day-long trail rides.
I was very happy with this tire's performance. I used it as a front tire, mostly in wet conditions. I liked it in the mud. But, it is really a good all around tire. Good in loose sandy stuff, and fine on hardpack too. Rolling resistance was not great, but traction was. It worked well with a wide range of air pressure.
BUT (and that's a big but) I tore through the casing of the tire. One of the side knobs was ripping off, but instead of just the rubber tearing, a hole was torn through the casing of the tire.

Duration Product Used:
Less than 1 month
Strengths:
Low rolling resistance, good cornering, great hardpack tire.
Weaknesses:
No ability to hold wet roots/rocks. Limited grip even on dry rocks. Not cheap.
Bike Setup:
Enduro SL - this tire is on the rear.
Bottom Line:
Not an all around tire but great at some things. If you're riding smooth, twisty singletrack, this tire is 5 stars. Really fast rolling. Wet rocks, or even dry rocks, not so much. A great race tire but only an acceptable "all mountain" tire.

Strengths:
Very fast with good grip. Sheds mud quickly and corners ok. Beads easily on rim every time
Weaknesses:
seems to wear quickly over hardpack surfaces. You should reverse the tread direction for the rear if climbing as it slips alot on steep grades.
Bike Setup:
Marin Hawk Hill
Bottom Line:
Very generous set of tyres to get OEM, and I'm definately going to replace them with the same.

Strengths:
Volume and fast Rolling
Weaknesses:
Bad in the loose dry, loose wet and at high speeds
Similar Products Used:

08 Mission 3 stock.
Bottom Line:
This is acually a review for the 2.3 that came oe on my bike. It came with this one up front and a Prowler SS in the rear.(Also posted a Prowler SS review). Even though they look very different I had the same problems as the SS. Bad wet weather grip, scketchy in loose, off camber and bad at high speed agressive cornering. I like the rear tire a little better but just not my style. I think these would be good for So Cal or Utah, dryer climates with more rock.

Strengths:
Mud dispersal, hardpack, loose over hardpack, wear rate medium, stunts predictable, wet rock, dry rock, wet and dry road, grips really well everywhere, durable - less puncture repair :-)
Weaknesses:
Rolling resistance on road, but probably not in design brief for tire. Hard to mount to some kinds of rims (but go on true in that case)
Similar Products Used:
Many, mostly worse than these
Bike Setup:
Giant hardtail, SRAM 7.0, Tora 318
Bottom Line:
Excellent as front tire, very good as rear tire, very durable, has reasonable weight, very good if you ride on varied terrain types and want a tire that will always perform well wherever you go. Never had a pinch flat, thick side walls.
Think about another rear tire with less rolling resistance (moto raptor?), or wait until tire gets worn down!
