Strengths: Grip, grip, grip, light weight for the size, massive volume tyre, price.Weaknesses: Nothing, nothing at allBottom Line: I've only been using this tyre for a few weeks, but man! After being a Maxxis Minion DHF fiend for years, and being so impressed with the WTB Prowlers, I thought I'd give the Dissent a go. Why oh why does Maxxis not produce a decent sized single ply and/or folding tyre? Sure you can go a Minion DHF 2.5 UST, but that's still smaller than the Dissent 2.5, it's 300g heavier, and it's more expensive. I managed to ghetto tubeless the Dissent Race 2.5 so save even more weight, and I run it at 20psi. Some may suggest that this tyre is way too big for a hardtail trail thrash bike, but when it weighs so little and grips so hard, why wouldn't you?
