The WTB Dissent Tire is all about going against the grain and not bowing down to the status quo. Featuring unconventional, opposing-direction side knobs, the Dissent bites hard when other tires simply nibble. A deep center tread provides braking confidence when terrain gets steepbut sheds-mud easily so you don't carry half the landscape along with you. Since it's designed specifically as a downhill/ freeride, going fast is in the Dissent's bloodor rubber.
Weaknesses: is quite heavy, but what do you expect from a downhill tire?
Bottom Line:
A good, cheap tire that can be depended upon in all situations. Digs deep in loose dirt and grips well in hard-packed sand. However, this tire is really loud on hard sand and has lots of rolling resistance.
