Date Reviewed: April 9, 2010

Strengths:    Very lite for basically 2.4's, great traction, clears mud and dirt quickly

Weaknesses:    High rolling resistance

Bottom Line:
I love these tires so far, great on the downs and not so heavy that you don't want to climb with them on. They have been great on snow and mud, cant wait to test em out on the high speed buff-singletrack once it dries out some more.

Hep Shiggy, quick question about Bull Lock tire

I received mine in 26x2.35 and installed on my rear wheel, but I'm not sure which way to run the tire for a rear setup. Since the tire has no marking for rotation direction, it's kind of confusing on the right side to use. Right now I have it mounted with the main thread pattern going forward, so I ... Read More »

Vredestein bull lock tire

I just ordered 2 of them (folding, 26x2.00), for my GT XCR 3000 (XC bike), to replace the OEM 10 years old Tioga Extreme XC that had one of the best XC grip and rolling speed I ever saw... I received them today and they look sweet, and they feel like a very great choice to replace the Tioga... Th ... Read More »

Vredestein Black Panther to Bull Lock Comparison?

I've had the Black Panthers for about 4 rides now (100 miles, 2.6 X 2.35). They are great tires going up because of their low rolling resistance and weight, BUT they don't appear to have very good cornering traction, especially on off-cambered turns (current conditions are muddy, loose). I low-sid ... Read More »

Vredestein Bull Lock Tire

26x2.35 660g 17.99. This tire thrives in sloppy to loose conditions. For such an aggressive tire they rolled extremely well with a predictable manner. The tire braking was great, they took off camber turns with ease, front never washed out once in 2 days of riding in 2 different conditions. The trea ... Read More »
