Strengths:    Grip on wet tracks especially mud and clay (that's why I got 'em). High resistance to mud clogging. Good in the dry - esp gravel and rocks. Big tyres that handle the hits. Very puncture resistant (none yet).

Weaknesses:    Slightly heavy and slowish rolling on hardpack trails (not so noticeable if only used only on front). A wide chunky fit for an average hardtail - they are DH after all.

Bottom Line:
Pity I can only use one on the front due to minimal clearance between chainstay and front mesh (started to wear a groove in the chainstay).
Similar in performance to Maxxis Minions according to downhillers. Hutchinson Barracuda DH tyres have clogged the treads where the Tiger didn't. As a front used on the wet tracks I can rail into corners like it's dry, quite happy to let the rear (usually a Nevegal if it's muddy) slip a little.
Hugely confidence inspiring in the wet.

Strengths:    Good durability.

Weaknesses:    Virtually everything, is worse than useless in the wet, dont even think about using them on mud. They do perform alright(but not that great) on dry hard packed surfaces but what tyre doesn't? I would have been gutted if I'd paid the high list price for these. Also quite bad for pinch flats.

Bottom Line:
Dont buy these if you live in the UK, would only get a couple of days use with our weather.

Strengths:    Great Grip for downhill in any terrain through mud sand slate. Never pinched a tube or had a flat and have done it weekly with other products.

Weaknesses:    Heavy but who cares if you are focusing on downhill like you should with these tires.

Bottom Line:
If you want a tire that will hold up well and give moderatlely good tread life with amazing grip and are willing to sacrifice the extra weight go for it! Will ride these tires again.

Strengths:    Strength, grip, what more do you want?
I also managed to get these when they first came out for 25 GBP(£) a pair, very sweet.

Weaknesses:    Maybe weight, but if you are a weight weenie you wouldnt buy these tyres anyway.

Bottom Line:
These tyres do all you can ask of them in all conditions, ok dont go using them too much on the tarmac.
BOTTOM LINE: Get them if you want the ultimate in grip.

Strengths:    V V good for DH/ Good, solid, trustworthy tire, V V good grip, can also go with very low pressure in the tube

Weaknesses:    Heavy, not so good at hard stops- it wears-off soon, not the strongest type of gum, pedal like Hell in the city, not 4 city use, dangerous on hy speed city curves

Bottom Line:
I strongly recomend it 4 any DH racer, GREAT on dirt (wet or hard), weak on city roads. USE ONLY 4 DIRT. GREAT !!

Strengths:    Strong, aggresive tyer. Grips very well on the rear.

Weaknesses:    Not so much a front tyre, especially with higher psi the tyre washes out on dry soil.

Bottom Line:
Price I paid is in pounds. This is a fantastic rear tyre, it finds grip on anything, rocks, roots, loose shingle. It rolls quite well considering its aggresive profile and also climbs very well.
The only thing I have against this tyre is that it is not for the front (my opinion). I have only had it a few weeks in the dry but it just doesnt seem very sure footed on dry loose corners, it can be quite twitchy and unpredictable.
Still a very good tyre though.

Strengths:    A very grippy
Stable tire at any speed
Smooth on landing
Very few unwanted suprises (pinch flats or the like)
Kevlar beaded and easy to get on and off big deep section rims. Toiga quality

Weaknesses:    They don't last long. A few days of DH is almost enough to kill them.

Bottom Line:
One of the best and fastest tires on the Market. If Nico used them they must be ok.

Strengths:    Awesome grip (up or down hill) in any conditions. Can corner hard without fear.

Weaknesses:    Wears out quickly.

Bottom Line:
These came with my 2002 Kona Stinky Deluxe. I run about 15-18 psi in the rear, 20-25 in the front. (Mine are the wire bead). They are awesome, but they wore out quickly. I liked them enough to order a new set...

Long story short, the new ones arrived, I mounted them, the sidewalls split away from the tread face after one short ride. They had to go back. Then I heard a rumor that all the new ones had been recalled by the manufacturer -- no doubt for this reason. And check it out: This year Kona is mounting something else on the Stinky D, so I guess this is probably true.

Bottom line: If you can get a good set, do it. Watch out for quality control. DO NOT BUY THESE VIA MAIL ORDER -- only buy if you can inspect them yourself.

I am rating my original set: 5/5

If I had to rate the new set it would be 1/1.

Strengths:    Amazing grip over rocks and pebbles
Nice and fat
Feel great upon landing
Mud doesn't pack up too abdly

Weaknesses:    Wear out extremely fast. There was noticeable wear after only one ride. Not as good as other tires I have tried when used in sandy conditions.

Bottom Line:
Not sure how much these things cost but they are definately a great tire. If Nicolas Vouilloz can win on them you can too!

Strengths:    Very grippy slow rubber compound, respond well to being leaned over, well behaved on all sorts of terrain, good under braking, fair price, nice thick sidewalls...

Weaknesses:    None so far...

Bottom Line:
These seem to be really great tires. I have had them out in a number of conditions, rocky, wet and rocky, muddy, dry, forests etc; and they seem to be doing the business. The rubber cpompound doesn't feel immediately as soft as say a michelin or and intense but the grip is fantastic and you can really lean them over. Also a very fair price!

Strengths:    Traction

Weaknesses:    Bulged on my last few rides I rode them, Last ride I they shot me off the trail at full speed into a Stump. Cause me to have to hike 2 miles back up the trail with my Backpack and bike on my back with all my pads on. Which sucked

Bottom Line:
I would never trust them on jumping or Downhill

Strengths:    Grippy, Soft, Reasonably flexible knobs, Easy to put on box section rims, Clears MUD! Thick sidewalls etc...

Weaknesses:    None so far... Maybe abit heavy... But for the sake of extra grip and no pinch flats... I don't care!

Bottom Line:
I used them at a DH race at Rob Roy recently... and I was stoked with my purchase!!! They were grippy in the dry, mud, and on grass! Heaps of people in all classes were using the same tires!

Strengths:    Great traction, can run at low preasure, have raced these tyres at 12psi front and 10psi in rear, they are good in the wet and quite reasonable in the mud, but boy do they stick to the track!

Weaknesses:    As you would expect with a sticky rubber tyre, they do wear and the bitumen, but I have only used them for practise and races and they have lasted the full season plus

Bottom Line:
Great Racing tyre for all conditions, fair price for a good tyre
