Strengths:    Grip on muddy climbs

Weaknesses:    possible life span

Bottom Line:
Have found these tyres to be great so far, I remember the SL pro tyres which werent suited to my area of riding.
I have just come off trailblaster tyres and I find these better. The hook up really well on climbs and predictable on fast down hills. It was a choice between these and Fire XC kevlar.
As for lifespan, I dont find the price all that dear for a year of riding because if you went to a gym then it would cost for that that in a two week period

Strengths:    Great traction

Weaknesses:    life span

Bottom Line:
I have ridden Specialized tires for years. On the east coast, we like our trails rocky and loose. And on loose terrain, this tire really shines. The only problem is that it has a relatively short lifespan. I usually only get one season out of the rear tire, and at least two out of the front.

Strengths:    Good in mud, doesn't pack up. Hooked up well when new, until the knobs started shearing off in chunks. I like the front tire and it isn't falling apart.

Weaknesses:    At 100 miles 1/3 of the side knobs are gone! There is no visible wear on the rest of the tire. 100 % trail riding, mostly in wet spring conditions and they are worn out! Normally, I get a full season out of a set of tires that cost half as much.

Bottom Line:
They would be great for a single race, otherwise they suck. They were OEM on the bike, but don't waste your money on these unless you're sponsored and they will buy new tires for every ride.

Strengths:    Nice racing tire
Lighter than its front cousin
Great grip for about 25 miles into a race.

Weaknesses:    Wears at about 25 miles splits at about 50 miles
Horrible climber. (The Knobs just come off)

Bottom Line:
I hate this tire, IT REALLY SUCKS. This tire almost made me lose a race, after about 28 miles the knobs on the tire were completely gone(this means no grip more climbing).
Specialized can put about 100 more grams in this tire to make it stronger and quit trying to be the lightest tire on the market(even through there not).

Strengths:    Light , light , light .

Weaknesses:    Does not hook up anywhere , wears out extremly fast , expensive .

Bottom Line:
My favorites are the pre 01 Team Contol Team Master so I thought these would be better and lighter . Well they got the lighter part right but the tire compound is so soft that it does not hold a line on anything and rear tire is chunked in both climbing and braking diections after about 50 miles of offroad . The trails I know well had to be ridden with caution after front end washed and was sketchy everywhere . Easily the worst full size knobbys I have ever tried . 0 stars please .
