Your terrain can vary from skate parks to city streets, and seems invariably to end up with a session at the trails. That requires a tire like the Rhythm with a fast rolling center section, similar to our Compound tread but with a larger and deeper knob on the shoulders for better traction in the dirt.

Strengths:
Awesome rolling resistance, night and day compared to knobbies. But they will still grip dry or slightly damp dirt very well.
Weaknesses:
They are not designed for mud, so don't even attempt to go into it, trust me.
Bottom Line:
If you are looking for a tire to ride around town on pavement or get you to the trial, I would highly recommend these. Great rolling resistance and pavement grip but still have some dirt grip if you need it.

Strengths:
Rolls really well. Impressive dry grip on smooth surfaces. Even ok when rocky or loose. Great for getting out to trails by road or footpath( tarseal, concrete or gravel). Strong casing. Good wear rate. Looks different but cool. Predictable handling.
Weaknesses:
Mud and wet clay (this is a street/jump tyre). Slightly heavy (although the fast rolling offsets this).
Similar Products Used:
Kenda Nevegal, Kenda K-sheild slicks. - These and the Rhythms have been used on same trails.
These are really versatile summer tyres. Although not intended for all mountain use, they have been used as a pair over several technical trails in damp conditions (eg Rockdrop, Rotorua). A good degree of "feel" is given for slippage, even on wet tree roots. Personally speaking these are perfect for eating the miles over long distances. In the dry I will happily run these over all my favourite trails, sacrificing outright grip where loose (eg Nevegals) for occasional predictable drifts at speed. I also plan to use these for back road touring this summer.

Rhythm Pro: Looks sick with the tan gum-rubbber sidewalls/outer tread and black center tread. Tread extends all the way down the sidewalls to the tire bead. Really light for an urban/dirt jumping tire. Tires is only 2.30 but handles like a 2.50. 60duro center tread and 55duro outer tread, should provide at least a year of good use.
Weaknesses:
So far, none. This tire kicks ass on concrete, hardpack, loose dirt. If you're riding in mud be careful, it skates over the surface. Since it's a 2.30, you need to run a little bit higher pressure than other wider tires in this category.
2006 Rocky Mountain Flow F2.0 - upgraded rear shifter and derailleur to XT, everything else stock, used 4 or 5 different tire combos
Bottom Line:
The Rhythm Pro is awesome, I have it on my rear and I have the regular Rhythm on the front. These tires are light, and their low rolling resistance makes them feel even lighter. I only wish they offered this tire in a 2.50 and maybe a 45-50 duro. However, the 2.30's are more than sufficient for Urban freeriding, skatepark, dirtjumping, and light trail use.....AND THE RHYTHM PRO LOOKS SICK! value 3: I paid $40 for the Pro and $30 for the regular overall 5: worth every penny

Great traction in dirt and street......it ride over dirt and all over the park with out slipping.
Weaknesses:
DEEP tread.....so it kicks up lots of dirt and rocks.
