Strengths:    fastfastfast!!! very light weight...low rolling resistance...tacky rubber compound!!!

Weaknesses:    weakness with this most good mountain bike equipment...related mostly to rider shortcomings!!!

Bottom Line:
these tires are fast...helped to set personal lap record on local trail!!! light weight eased fatigue during many long race paced endurance day rides!!! ride them with some skillful finesse and you will not have problems...corner too fast or with poor line initiation and you will overshoot turns due to lack of traction but this is simply rider induced error or misjudgement!!! mine are still rolling after two years and many many miles...turning into very nice semislicks now despite the very tacky rubber!!! today even faster!!!

Strengths:    f a s t..... very fast and low rolling resistence, lightweight, fast spin-ups, easy to mount on the rims than my other tires ... great on fast course, durability... well my pair (s-works) lasted for a entire seaon of abuse. some of my pals used them and them wore out fast.. but my is fine.. may be hardly break hard and doing very little skids...

Weaknesses:    the tradeoff, as with most fast racing 1.90's are they don't have much tractions and concering on these tires need a bit fitness and don't go to hard on them the first time.

Bottom Line:
they are good racing tires, but not the greatest either, i ride them when the course is fast and flat, but for technical stuffs, i recommend either michelin comp s and the hutchinson pythons, they are very fast, but tend to wear out a little faster then the rocksters, the rocksters, afterall, are not designed as all arounfd racing tire anyway so make sure u have extra sets of tires for the harder stuff, i used to hated these rocksters, they drift funny, not much traction( maybe i used my comp s too much and got spoiled) but these baby are fast and thats good, but after i got used to them, they are pretty good and i now can do more on these tires

WARNING: they are fast and doesn't have a lot of traction, so saved them and becareful the first time you try them out. happy trails

Strengths:    Rolling resistance

Weaknesses:    Wear. Possible puncture prone.

Bottom Line:
I purchased these tires in March and initially the cornering and handling were great.

By August my rear tire was bald down the middle and the side knobbies were crumbling and flimsy. I could no longer take corners at speed because I feared washing out. The front tire has held up but the side knobbies are getting week and roll.

This year I have had more flats than ever. It seems like at least every other ride. Not sure if that is my luck or the tire being prone to punctures.

I will be moving my front to the rear until it wears down and replacing my front with Panaracer Fire XC PRO for I hope improved cornering and durability.

Strengths:    light, came with bike so free. Low resisantce on hard pact ground

Bottom Line:
Don't believe the hype it says in the marketing hype "great cornering across a wide variety of conditions" that could not be further from the truth! I was cornering quite slowly and there was a bit if lose wet mud and the back end came right out! If I was going any faster I dread to think what would have happened. Saying this they are great for hard pact ground they just keep rolling....well done for a good tire, but please don't lie Specialized :( The tire will sell themselfs for the RIGHT use. But I will give them full marks for what they can do not what they CAN'T do

Strengths:    Very fast, low rolling resistance, very good handling in turns on front tire. Way better than Bonetrager.

Weaknesses:    I loose traction in unpacked dirt on hills fairly easily and stopping in loose dirt or sand.

Bottom Line:
Very good for racing on packed trails, worst on dirt roads with loose dirt, gravel or sand.

Strengths:    The Rockster S-Work 1.9 tire is the best tire I have had yet. They may wear a little fast but they make up for it in lightness and fast rolling. These are by far the best tire I have raced on yet. They also hook up great in the corners!

Weaknesses:    They wear a little fast and they are a little pricey, other wise that's it!!

Bottom Line:
Specialized, Please don't change a thing on the Rockster S-Works. They are perfect!!!!
