These tires have excellent grip both on dry and wet surface, they bite the dirt and it`s like driving a train.

They are also pretty lightweight, but bit easier to pinch. After riding butyl-enforced Minions I hadn`t had defect for ages so I was bit disappointed that it`s quite easy to get a snake bite on the tube, but that`s the price for low weight. But air pressure increase helps and they`re quite bullet proof then.

The rear tire wore quite fast, but after tearing off edges of the central knobs it stayed the same for quite a long time.

It might be just the combination of MM and my DT Swiss EX350 rims, but it`s almost impossible to get the tire off the rim and back on. I`ve already broken about 5 levers so far and every defect means at least 5 minutes of struggle with the bead.
On the other hand, it`s literally impossible to strip it off while riding/cornering...

Incredible grip, strong sidewalls, beefy, lightweight, great rubber compound, good price.

Wears pretty fast but i would not expect it to last for a long time since it is a very soft tire.

These tires rock! They grip like crazy and i can really trust them, and if i think i will slip off some roots or offcamber rock, they will stick to it and give me a smooth ride.
They dont roll that well, but i dont care as long as they have such good grip.

When all mountain/trail riding i use 23 psi, no pinch flats, just awesome grip.

If youre looking for bad weather trail tires, get these and dont look back.

2.5 freeride single ply trailstar compound

Super grip, the side nobbles are actually sticky to the touch so you can lean like mad on them. the sidewalls are quite tough and make mounting them a bit tricky. I don't think that pinch flats are going to be an issue unless you regularly downhill through jagged rock gardens - in which case, get the downhill versions! The rolling resistance is higher than nobby nics I use for cross country, but less than the nevegals I just took off.

they grip like crazy, so rolling resistance leaves a bit to be desired.

proabibly the best tire ever, i have spent tons of cash and countless hours on Soooo many different tires and these muddy mary's simply kick a$$, if only the rolling resistance was just a scoesh better it would be the most perfect tire possible imo. I also friggin love the new nobby nic's amazing tire but sidewall strength will allow pinch flats when bombing.

Guey glueys wear fast but AMAZING race tire

Guey glueys wear fast but stick amazing and well worth the money when you need to pin it..... Performance outweighs the wear and cost if needed...
Traction is definently 85% from mud being a 1 and bone dry being a 100. It hooks up and sticks total control at every turn with no questionable spots on it...
Ive ridden snow, mud from the NW to SOcal from 5 degrees to 105 degrees,,, Tire is amazing and STRONGLEY recomend it...

I've found these tires very grippy in wet conditions on roots, rocks, and mud. I've run them at the min pressure without getting pinch flat and the sidewalls with snakeskin are holding up great. If you let the tires do they're job and keep off the brakes you'll be practically glued to the trail. The 2.5's are beastly too.

The gooey gluey is showing some wear and tear after a few weekends of DH stuff, mostly wet conditions. I'm trying to makes these last so I'm switching them out depending on conditions.

Another great tire from Schwalbe, a bit specific for conditions, but it's the right tool for the job. A point or two off for price.

i bought the muddy mary 2.35 with the gooeygluey compound as "winter tires" for my AM bike.
they perform great from october till eastern in the wet and muddy forrest. great self cleaning, no proplem to go uphill at wet grass or roots.
even in the snow and on ice the soft and grippy gooeygluey compound performs well. sure, not as good as spikes, but good and save enough to have some winter fun.

now, since it is getting wormer i replaced them. the soft compound wears out at stones and streets and i like to "save" them as my favroite winter tire.

the tires (with tubes) have more grip than the tubeless tires I have used and are much better on wet and muddy terrain, but also on dry, loose grounds.

I have the freeride version (folding bed) in 2.5 " size, Gooeygluey compound in front and Triple in back.

These tires are really big! Check your frame before, the are not only 67mm wide, but also very high! The weight is just under 1000g each, about 100grams more than BigBetty. Thats ok.

The grip on loose soil, mud and wet stones/roots is outstanding.
When it comes to hardpack or flat stones/tarmac, the tire is easy to pedal, but the giant knobs will roll over slightly in corners and give you an unstable feel.
The sheer size of the tire gives a plush feel when hitting hard over ocks and stuff. I didnt have a flat yet, but I think for downhilling the DH version will be safer.

it's ok; some people say weight counts as a loss for it, but i don't care about this.. :) i use this tire even in my town, for short distances, and i'm not disappointed.
