The Jimmy features a wide-gap tread for first-class traction and self-cleaning action whilst the shoulder lugs with a serrated surface give a fantastic grip on curves and off-camber grip.

Bottom Line:
these tires are incredible! The best allrounder for me!
it is like the nobby nic but a bit smaller so its handling is better. if you want a tire who is ready for competition buy these. Because its less expecive than the nobby nic it is better.
1 word for it: Awesome!

Strengths:
Good all-rounder, good price. Not a foot wrong in the dry and has put in a good performance on snow too. There's not a hill it won't handle (in the dry) - if you can.
Weaknesses:
Seems to wear a little quickly, probably last the weekend warrior not much more than a season. Also a rather narrow 2.1, as others have commented. Things get a bit wild in mud, wouldn't recommend for wet conditions. Seem a little prone to flats too, though I may be under-inflating a little.

Mongrel bike - Giant Iguana frame, Avid BB5 discs, XT shifters, Rock Shox Tora forks, Alex Rims
Bottom Line:
Even though these are a little narrow for my liking, I think I am still going to get these again (my third set). The price is just right - Nobby Nics would be my choice otherwise, but they are almost double the price of Jimmys round here. For an all-rounder like me who needs to ride gravel and road every now and then but does some racing too I would say you can't get much better than these for the price. Just stay off the mud.

Bike Setup:
Access hardtail with leftovers, spares and old components (weighs 22.5 lbs)
Bottom Line:
This tire rolls well and offers good trail grip in most conditions. Although it is a narrow 2.1, it grips as well as some larger volume tires.
I use this tire on the front rim of my hardtail and it is perfect for almost all conditions.
This also rolls well on pavement. The tire wears well without wearing out too quickly.

great for winter digs like a backhoe super light for 2.1 sheds mud easily low rolling resistance

Bike Setup:
05 Kona Kula Deluxe, FSA Orbit xtreme pro, Ritchey mtb pro stem, crankbrother ti eggbeater pedals
Bottom Line:
super fast tire for xc in 2.1 inch version. sheds mud very easily and really digs in for out of saddle riding on aggressive hills. For summer go for a Racing Ralph because of its superior racing abilities(if you race)and everything else the jimmy will cover it. Keep in mind with the 2.25 version you can run a low/lower pressure in xc and all mountain situations.

Price Paid:

Strengths:
Grippy tire, behaves predictable going into wet corners. Good uphill traction and good in semi-muddy conditions.
Weaknesses:
Too grippy on dry pack, slows you down a lot. The small knobs give you grip but also slow you down a lot when the track hardens. In sandy corners it starts to drift.
Similar Products Used:
Schwalbe Racing Ralph 2.4 (superb), Fast Fred 2.3 (fast & dangerous), Mud Shark 1.8 (mud specific), Conti Vapor 2.1 (ust, really good allrounder), Conti Vertical Pro 2.35 (ust, similar as Jimmy but better rolling capabilites)
Bike Setup:
Different bikes: Rohloff hardtail for the mud, Fusion Raid for the nice weather and the groovy downhilss
Bottom Line:
There are better products out there now, tires have evolved over the time, especially dual-compound seems to kick in now (new Schwalbe and Michelin)

Strengths:
Not to heavy, low rolling resistanse, good grip in dry conditions.
Weaknesses:
The grip on wet roots and rocks is not god. The stability could be better.
Similar Products Used:
Bontrager AC Jones, Panaracer Cinder
Bike Setup:
Trek Fuel 80
Bottom Line:
Then I first tested this tires I noticed a much better grip, but more unstable compared to my Bontrager tires. Because of the poor performens on wet roots and rocks I have now changed to Panaracer Cinder. However this tires is a good compromise betwen grip, rolling resistanse and weight if you want to race.
