Bottom Line:I woundn't recommand these tires especially if this problem occurs on any other type of rims. I will be loial to Maxxis from now on...

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $45.00
Purchased At:over time bikes
Strengths:grippy, no roll, stiff, fast, seem to be very durable so far.
Weaknesses:a little heavy, but that's downhill
Similar Products Used:high roller, minions, gazzaloddi, michelin, specialized roller
Bike Setup:bighit, boxxer team, 6 way, mrp, single tracks.

Submitted by Alex a Weekend Warrior from Alberta Canada
Date Reviewed: August 15, 2004
Favorite Trail:urban trials
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $60.00
Purchased At:TheTrialsinShop
Strengths:tacky, grippy, can run super low psi and no worries for pinch flats, fat
Weaknesses:heavy beyond your wildest dreams
Similar Products Used:kujo dh, michelin hot s, panaracer fire xc pro, mythos xc, wormdrive, hansventure, minion dh, highroller dh, lopes bling bling
Bike Setup:Planet X zebdi mk5 -- knifen lite, soyo grips, deore shifter, avid ball bearing disc, magura hs33 hydro rear, hope xc hub, xt rear hub, chris king nothreadset headset, race face zeus xc stem, race face north shore cranks, truvativ bb, victor double caged pedals, sram chain, um..... sun rhyno lite (front), sun mammoth dh (rear)
Bottom Line:its hard to find a tire that provides awesome grip on concrete obstacles, while providing low rolling resistance, and all for a good price. these tires were pretty good, so heavy, but performed well. price was decent -- at 80 dollars canadian so about 60 US i guess, an alternative to the maxxis tires.
tread is fairly knobby and ... well provides the stickyness for most all rear wheel on ledges, railings, and so on!
