All agressive knobby tires make whistling noises or buzzing sounds on pavement or cement. This tire was on my very first mountain bike the venerable Bridgestone MB1, and since i grew up with this tire in the sport of mountain biking I compare all other tires to this model

Duration Product Used:
1 Year
Price Paid:
$10.00
Purchased At:
Toronto International Bicycle Show (1997)
Strengths:
Proven world class winning tread design. Handels a lot like the WTB Velociraptor 2.1" (steel).
Weaknesses:
Whistles loudly on asphalt and cement, puntures where treads are not present.
Similar Products Used:
WTB Velociraptor 2.1", Specialized (Ground Control ?) 2.1", Panaracer Fire XC Pro 2.1", Bontrager Jones AC 2.0"
Bike Setup:
1996 GT Ricochet
Bottom Line:
Lasted for 1yr (1997-1998) just like the WTB Velociraptor 2.1" (rear). It had the same good & bad aspects as those of the WTB Velociraptor. It was replaced (front + rear) for a new set of Panaracer Fire XC Pro's when they first came out (1998 ?). Bottom Line: A different tread pattern offered by a different manufacturer.
