Panaracer FireCross Tire

4/5 (1 Reviews)
Weight : 2.00 lbs

Product Description

The FireCross is based upon the award winning Fire XC Pro. An excellent cross tire, it sheds mud well, rolls well on dry hard surfaces and won't blow confidence in hard corners. It'll fit that 29" bike and grip the trail well even when climbing out of the saddle.

Strengths:    Very good traction in most conditions, relatively light weight, good cushion for a small volume tire. Rolling resistance seemed to be good too - not the greatess, but considering such deep treads it rolls pretty well.

Weaknesses:    It's not a big volume plush tire for those looking for that trait.

Bottom Line:
A great all-purpose, small volume tire. Not necessarily made for the big tire fanatic. But for those looking for a tire for general purpose riding, or for weekend warrior racers who don't have the time or money to be switching tires for many different types of terrain, this tire is a very nice choice.

What are the best 40c all-around tires for Fall and Spring in New England? I've been on local MTB trails mostly these last 6-weeks. (edited: I misr ... Read More »

FireCross 700 x 45c tires out of stock/production?

I'm looking for a narly tire for my cross check for ATV trail exploring. I just mounted a bonty XR 1.9 on the front, but what I'd really like is a Panaracer FireCross 700 x 45c - the trails could really use a tire with that kind of bite. It seems like it's sold out everywhere on the web. Has this ... Read More »
