Strengths: Excellent Tires that grip when you need them and still roll smoothly
Weaknesses: ?
Bottom Line:
Great tire that is compatible with Stan's tubeless. I use them all year long here in Steamboat Springs, CO. They perform from the mud in the spring, the dust sand and rocks in the summer and slippery leaves in the fall
Strengths: Very strong sidewall, kevlar bead, wide-high volume
Weaknesses: Weight, $$
Bottom Line:
I am a big guy, why sugarcoat? My bike screams for mercy- And, I can be hard on equipment. This tire is built like a bulldozer. If you are looking for a tire that can take some abuse, look no further.

Strengths: heavy duty tires w/no slipping on the trails...
Weaknesses: as far as riding i haven't experienced any yet, but they were a bear to put on the rim, i will dread the first time i get a flat on the trail and have to try to pry one side off.
Bottom Line:
These tires so far have been da'bomb. I don't slide around like i used to w/my old tires, i did not realize the difference it was going to make. i rode this past weekend @ Alafia River State Park(my local trail) and i was riding over roots and trails that i used to slide on which would cause me to come out of my clips quite a bit. now w/these tires i was not sliding, i was able to ride over most everything w/ease because i could stay clipped on and just go. you would have thought i was on a brand new bike that just cost me $4000+, but instead it was my same ole bike but w/brand new Panaracer DH tires. I know people talk about the extra weight being a factor, but i did not notice a difference at all w/the extra weight.
i raced them at the sea otter (DH) twice and they did fine. plenty of grip for that mellow course. the sidewalls seem almost indestructable. they are a little narrow for an all-around DH tire. probably best in wet, sloppy conditions. i've tried them for trail riding and they are just too heavy! my first DH tire. i don't use them anymore. i'd rate them as "average".

Strengths: Godly on hard pack. Very easy to regain control if your tires slip. Also seems to shed mud real well.
Weaknesses: none, I see all this about weighing too much, if you cant deal with an extra pound or two, you need to quit mountain biking and take up cycling.
Bottom Line:
I'm very happy with these tires, beats the hell outta my stock ones. On hardpack they are insane, slips on sand (what doesnt?), not the greatest on wet grass (found out the hard way and scored a broken wrist and finger) But the bottom line is these tires are the sh*t, handle extremely well on dirt/rock. I've gone threw quite a bit of mud and the moment you hit dry dirt the mud sheds off right away.
Strengths: Corners really well, fast and durable in almost all terrains...seemed pretty good on street. digs in where it needs to and has a low profile, re: tread. Alot like the Fire Xc's but MORE BEEF!
Weaknesses: That it's not lighter, doesn't come in 3.5. All in all IT MOST DEFINITLY A GOOD TIRE.
Bottom Line:
It's a Great tire for the price...you get more than you payed for...Handles great and moves and cuts fast...a heavy blade for your rear tire.GET SOME! Watch AMN!!!
Strengths: Stiff sidewalls, performance at low and high pressures, mud performance, climbing grip, all around grip, puncture resistance, and the list goes on.
Weaknesses: ????, I really have no complaints for these tires. I would love to see a 24" version for my new bike though. Some might complain of the weight on the hills but the climbing tread makes up for it.
Bottom Line:
Great tires for the money and are way better than most of the more expensive tires as well. These tires hookup at high pressure better than most tires at low pressure. You can't beat this tread design. I've used them on loose dirt/sand, hardpack, wet logs, wet clay, and snow. They haven't let me down yet. You won't find a better tread design for freeride. Sweet.

Bike Setup: These tires (2.35s) are on the F/R of a Schwinn Moab with Rhino Lite rims and various other DH specific components. I also have a Pana Fire FR 2.4 on the front of my Big Hit now.
Strengths: killer tires... feels like your glued to the ground traction to the max
Weaknesses: umm the dont come in 2.5 or 2.6......
Bottom Line:
I have some kenda kolassals 2.6 downhill tires on my fetish and the panaracer's on my xc bike...the traction of the panaracers are actually better and I had to swap them over I couldnt believe it. By the way I live and ride in Maine. Up here we have a major mud season in spring and tons of roots, rock and technical riding and snow...no complaints I just wish I could get these tires in 2.6. I cant think of anyone who wouldnt benifit by these unless you bike a ton on the road or trails that look like sidewalks....
Strengths: EVERYTHING. THESE TIRES ARE AWSOME. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THEM. IN THE 4 YEARS I HAVE USED THEN I HAVE ONLY GOT 1 PINCH FLAT. I DO DROPS UP TO 25 FEET AND RIDE ALOT OF DH AND I RIDE ALL OVER THE WESTERN U.S. and i found if you dont want a 4 pound dh tire but a reliable dh tire that has bad a** traction then this tire is for u

Strengths: great tire. i have had only 2 pinch flats with the 2 years i have had the tires. don't wear fast. i ride every day and the tires last a year.
Strengths: good tread, great tration, slow wear, i ride almost every day, and these tires last me a year.
Weaknesses: a little hard to mount/dismount
Bottom Line:
Verry nice tire for the price. I have tried maxxis, tioga, wtb, other pannaracer tires and cujo. but i still come back to the dh pro, best tire for the places i ride
Strengths: Have not had a flat since. Awsome forward bite
Weaknesses: Slippery around the corners
Bottom Line:
I ride heavy crosscountry light freeride. I bought them because I was told they would make the bike stick... Well my bike now weighs 23lb and it still slides around the tight fast stuff. It is a good tire just has it's specific application.
It wanted to know if Alexrims DP20 supports one all mountain and freeride has led, my weight is 170lbs. I intend to use the Panaracer Fire DH Pro 2,3 only in the front wheel,it is Read More »
